Marvel’s Princess Chapter 30

Supernatural Vs Science

In the center of the abandoned factory, Bella spotted her target.

A middle-aged woman with a square face, straw-yellow hair, and a worn-out expression was tied to a chair furiously cursing at the air. She railed against her captor for killing her sister, ruining her entire life, and not letting her go.

Bella shook her head in disbelief. Doctor Octopus’ taste in targets was indeed unique.

The middle-aged woman was yelling to her right, but Bella sensed someone on her left. The Invisible Man’s damaged invisibility suit was no longer visible; whether it was repaired or replaced was unknown.

The Invisible Man wasn’t particularly formidable; besides his stealth, his combat skills were on par with Bella’s.

He was firm but not agile, possibly because the optical lenses couldn’t maintain invisibility at high speeds, which slowed him down.

Bella waited on the spot, but despite the middle-aged woman’s continuous cursing, the Invisible Man showed no signs of revealing himself. Cautiously, Bella decided to retreat the way she came.

Striking from above with a sure kill was impossible; a miss would endanger her.

She returned to her car, Miss Pick-up, to ponder her invisibility technique, waiting for nightfall.

The night was disadvantageous for both her and the Invisible Man but beneficial for Miss Pick-up, as ghosts could expand their range during the night.

Having an assistant and not using it would be foolish.

Bella, unarmed, without aggressive skills or combat abilities—a typical non-combatant—wasn’t confident she could capture the Invisible Man. Negotiating with Miss Pick-up for help was essential.

The abandoned factory was chilling at night. Cecilia, the middle-aged woman from California, had suffered a lot on her way to Arizona. The man in the invisibility suit, hiding in the shadows and unwilling to show himself even now, intensified her fear.

“Kill me! I’m just an ordinary woman! Please, just kill me!”

“Leave my family alone. Stop tormenting me!”

“Adrian! You coward! If you dare, come out and face me!”

Whether pleading or cursing, the Invisible Man remained unmoved.

A sudden clang made the middle-aged woman think something moved behind her on a shelf, but she wasn’t sure.

However, the Invisible Man noticed something unusual; he had briefly seen a pale figure drift between the shelves.

It was 2000, and creating a full-coverage optical lens invisibility suit was an impressive invention.

The suit lacked AI and analytical functions; he could only rely on his eyesight.

Another pale figure drifted past the two, more apparent this time.

The middle-aged woman’s eyes widened, the sudden appearance nearly shattering her worldview.

The Invisible Man remained calm, his voice suddenly emerging from nowhere: “Some kind of projection imaging technology, huh? Using that trick on me, how childish.”

Hidden in the shadows, Bella thought to herself. These stubborn people always use their worldviews to explain everything, refusing to accept anything different. Bella could only say, let them be happy!

Now employing a female ghost to deal with a scientist, she didn’t hesitate.

She continued to direct Miss Pick-up, whose combat power significantly increased at night, to create a distraction on the other side while she slowly approached the two.

The abandoned factory was cold at night, and the arrival of the female ghost dropped the temperature several degrees.

Doctor Octopus stubbornly believed that the enemy was using “projection imaging” technology to confuse him.

He thought the female ghost was just a trick played by the enemy.

It wasn’t his style to just sit and wait for death; he cut the rope binding the middle-aged woman and then, holding a handgun, aimed it at her head.

An invisibility suit covered it, but the dagger and handgun were visibly floating in the air.

“Get up, let’s leave this place,” he commanded firmly, a man of his word.

The middle-aged woman had no choice but to walk out obediently.

What followed was a nightmare for her.

The Invisible Man relied on scientific technology for his invisibility, Miss Pick-up had her ghostly traits, and Bella used her still immature psychic spells for invisibility.

Three invisible ‘beings’ surrounded the middle-aged woman.

The Invisible Man couldn’t see the other two ‘beings.’

Bella also couldn’t see the other two ‘beings.’

As for Miss Pick-up, whether she could see the two was unknown.

The Invisible Man kept looking around, sensing that the handgun had revealed his location. He put away the gun and simply demanded the middle-aged woman to keep moving forward.

Like in a horror movie, Miss Pick-up didn’t attack but hovered around the protagonist.

She opened the door to the east, the hinges creaking eerily in the night.

Then she quickly passed by a window on the west side, scaring the middle-aged woman into an asthma attack. Before they could calm down, she bumped into a metal barrel on the south side.

The clear clanging sound traveled far in the night, and the Invisible Man immediately turned his head to check at the sound.

His movement was a bit too large, exceeding the design limit of optical invisibility, revealing a slight human outline.

“Opportunity!”

Seeing the opponent expose himself, Bella hesitated no more.

She took out a fire extinguisher she had prepared and suddenly jumped out from the side, spraying at the human outline and the surrounding area.

The dry powder dispersed with her action, making the human outline instantly clear.

Bella also roughly analyzed this guy’s mentality.

She didn’t understand the science of optical invisibility, but this guy had a very twisted, even pathological hobby—bullying women.

Previously, he targeted Claire in the attack and tried to strangle Bella in the hospital, and his pattern of stalking, killing, fleeing, and then killing again showed he had a stubborn preference for hitting women.

“Take that for hitting women!” Bella’s move was straightforward; unlike the hospital attack, there were no panicked or hesitant emotions this time. She used her strength thoroughly.

A punch landed on the Invisible Man’s chest, shattering a large section of the new invisibility suit’s optical lenses scattering fragments everywhere.

Spraying dry powder to locate the enemy, followed by an attack, Bella’s actions were quick but left enough time for the enemy to react.
