“Clone Technique!”
Standing casually in the center of the classroom, Yukigetsu smiled confidently. His demeanor made everyone subconsciously believe he could actually perform the jutsu.
However…
Nothing happened!
No clones appeared beside Yukigetsu, making his actions seem rather ridiculous.
The classroom fell silent for a moment before erupting into laughter as loud as a thunderstorm.
“Hahahahahahaha…”
“Oh wow, I can’t stop laughing. He acted so confident, but he can’t even do a simple Clone Technique!”
“Look at me, Clone Technique… poof, nothing! Hahaha…”
Perhaps his earlier actions had provoked their anger, and now Yukigetsu’s failure provided the perfect outlet for their resentment. Aside from a few genuine friends, everyone else ridiculed him mercilessly.
The classroom was chaotic, filled with malicious laughter that bubbled like boiling water.
The one laughing the hardest and most gleefully was Sakura Haruno. Her delighted face, blooming like a cherry blossom, entranced many boys who were secretly glancing at her.
Serves you right, you arrogant jerk. Now you’ve made a fool of yourself! Let’s see if you have the face to be my fiancé now, huh…
Her second personality raged internally, and Sakura’s excitement made her fists tremble.
On the other hand, Sasuke Uchiha displayed a faint smirk before turning his head away disdainfully. He even regretted challenging such a loser in the first place, feeling it diminished his own status.
Just as Iruka frowned and stood up to restore order…
Poof, poof, poof, poof, poof.
Six moderate sounds echoed sequentially. Normally, such sounds would be drowned in laughter, but they exploded like thunder.
The students’ laughter froze, faces stiffening like ice, their throats seemingly choked, faces turning red.
“Oops, looks like I got the hand signs wrong…”
Yukigetsu blinked innocently, his bright eyes filled with feigned confusion as if he had no idea what just happened.
Pfft.
Mizuki, trying to hold back a laugh, spat out water, and Iruka’s legs gave way, making him sit back down.
The students stared blankly, as if they could hear the sound of their own hearts breaking.
Sasuke’s expression darkened. He had only created five clones, but Yukigetsu had made six. It was a direct slap to his face.
In the Hokage’s office, the Third Hokage, choking on his pipe smoke, bent over coughing. He finally recovered, a smile spreading across his wrinkled face. “This kid’s personality is as mischievous as Kakashi’s…”
Yukigetsu ignored the others’ reactions and turned towards Ino. Her face lit up with joy, warming his heart.
Steadying himself, he leisurely formed another hand sign. “Transformation Technique!”
Poof.
“Huh?”
A series of surprised voices rose as everyone saw Yukigetsu transform. They turned to see the wide-eyed Sakura, then back at the transformed Yukigetsu. Someone suddenly remembered their engagement and realized why he transformed into her. Being close to both school beauties, was he planning to flaunt his affection again?
It was too much, many people thought indignantly.
But Sakura herself was genuinely puzzled. Despite their strained relationship, why would he transform into her? Did he actually like her?
She touched her face, feeling a bit pleased, then quickly put on a disdainful expression.
Hmph, even if he likes me, I won’t accept it. Sasuke-kun is still the best!
As she thought this, she began sneaking glances at Sasuke, hearts in her eyes.
But Yukigetsu liked her? That was laughable.
Yukigetsu’s six clones lined up opposite the fake Sakura, speaking in turn:
“Hey, Sakura…”
“I’ve made a big decision…”
“Taking advantage of this beautiful graduation moment…”
“With everyone here as witnesses…”
“I have an announcement to make…”
Everyone widened their eyes. Was he about to confess?
Many girls covered their mouths, thinking it was so romantic…
Even Sakura wasn’t immune, her heart fluttering. In front of everyone, being confessed to by an outstanding boy—what could be more romantic and intoxicating?
The boys, on the other hand, were filled with jealousy, especially those who had performed well in the exams. They felt overshadowed and resentful.
Seeing this, Choji decisively took out some popcorn and distributed it among the group. However, when he reached Ino, seeing her stormy expression, he didn’t dare offer her any.
At this moment, Yukigetsu’s last clone spoke seriously: “We… should break off the engagement.”
Thunder and lightning, waves crashing, the ground splitting—none could describe the shock and disbelief filling everyone’s hearts.
What happened to the romantic confession? What about tender feelings? The grand graduation drama?
Sakura stood frozen, unable to move. She never expected Yukigetsu to announce breaking off the engagement in front of everyone. For a girl, this was an utter humiliation!
While everyone else was stunned, Yukigetsu wasn’t.
The fake Sakura looked heartbroken, wilting like a withered flower. “Why? Don’t you like me?”
Yukigetsu’s clones lined up, speaking in turn:
“You’re not as pretty as Ino…”
“Not as gentle as Ino…”
“Not as cute as Ino…”
“Not as sensible as Ino…”
“And… your figure isn’t as good as Ino’s…”
“Why should I like you?”
Sakura’s face grew darker with each statement while Ino’s blush deepened. From hell to heaven, it seemed, was just a few words away.
Hinata Hyuga, watching this unfold, felt tears welling up. She had missed her chance to get closer to Yukigetsu. Blaming her shyness and timidity, she felt heartbroken.
“Die!”
A furious scream came from the sidelines, drawing everyone’s attention.
The usually sweet Sakura had gone berserk, embodying a tailed beast. With rage surging through her, she seemed possessed by the spirits of all the women who had ever been heartbroken by men. Betrayal, infidelity, heartbreak—she was ready to fight her ex-fiancé.
Choji munched on his popcorn, enjoying the show even more.
“Die!”
A punch sent a clone into smoke.
“Die!”
A kick dissipated another clone.
Poof poof poof poof…
In moments, all of Yukigetsu’s clones vanished. Even the last one, under Sakura’s furious assault, turned into a log. She panted heavily, clearly exhausted from her outburst.
“Everyone saw it. This is the true face of our school flower, Sakura Haruno. Scary, huh?”
A playful voice came from nearby. Ino turned, delighted to see Yukigetsu sitting beside her. He smiled and said, “Ino, just now…”
He started to explain, but Ino smiled warmly, holding his left hand and leaning her head on his shoulder. “You don’t need to explain, I understand…”
Understand what? I was just provoking Sakura…
Yukigetsu broke into a sweat, realizing he might have gone too far. How was he supposed to handle this now?
Meanwhile, the other students, hearing Yukigetsu’s words, looked at the disheveled, furious Sakura and shuddered. For their own safety, they decided it was best to keep their distance from her.
Iruka, noticing something, exchanged glances with the other examiners. They realized what the students hadn’t: When did Yukigetsu return to Ino’s side? Was it during the Body Replacement Technique? His speed was incredible, even though they hadn’t caught it. Despite not being fully focused, it was still impressive.
Iruka and the examiners were filled with admiration.
Back in the Hokage’s office, the Third Hokage moved to the window, looking at the youngest face on the Hokage Rock. His old voice carried a hint of pride:
“That’s the Body Flicker Technique… Someone else once mastered it at his age. Only…”
