The next day, as the morning sun rose, Yukigetsu was already out the door, making his way through the bustling streets of Konoha toward the Ninja Academy.
The streets were lined with numerous shops, some even selling ninjutsu scrolls. Shouts from vendors filled the air, but Yukigetsu paid no heed. With the mysterious Spirit Release allowing him to access a ninjutsu library-like Soul River, the techniques he could acquire there far surpassed anything sold in these shops.
After turning several busy corners, the Ninja Academy came into view. The streets were filled with groups of students, boys, and girls mingling, their cheerful voices filled with youthful energy.
Curious glances occasionally landed on Yukigetsu, some from shy girls who blushed slightly. It was clear that Yukigetsu was a notable figure at the Academy.
Beyond any other feats, just the fact that he had once defeated the taijutsu fanatic Rock Lee was enough to make an impression. After all, Lee’s taijutsu could trouble even ordinary Genin.
Though they didn’t understand why Yukigetsu couldn’t extract chakra, his seemingly unbreakable body wasn’t something a regular person possessed. Moreover, he had accepted a challenge from Uchiha Sasuke.
Yukigetsu, however, paid little attention to the various gazes, occasionally squinting and smiling back. Despite his young age, his deep eyes resembled a mysterious night sky, and his faint smile carried a unique quality absent in his peers.
This quality, along with his pleasing appearance, made the girls secretly watch him blush, including an adorable girl Yukigetsu considered the best future wife candidate.
Hinata Hyuga hid around the corner, fiddling with her fingers, her gaze on Yukigetsu as he walked by. She bit her lip, looking both hopeful and nervous.
Yukigetsu-kun, today… today I’ll definitely talk to you, I won’t just run away…
At that moment, a commotion erupted from the Academy grounds ahead. Yukigetsu narrowed his eyes, recognizing the anxious figures as his classmates from Class B. They were his good friends.
As he quickly approached, they spotted him, and relief washed over their faces. Excited shouts rang out, “Class Rep!”
“What happened?” Yukigetsu asked as he reached them.
“Class Rep, please help Choji! He’s fighting with Kiba from Class A!” a boy said urgently.
Yukigetsu’s brow relaxed, “It’s alright. Kiba Inuzuka isn’t necessarily a match for Choji.”
“But we heard that Uchiha Sasuke from Class A is also there,” the boy added.
“Uchiha Sasuke?”
The name caused a stir among the surrounding students. Uchiha Sasuke, the most famous student in this year’s Academy, was not someone Choji could likely beat.
“What’s going on?”
Yukigetsu’s brow furrowed again. Choji, Shikamaru, and Ino were his closest friends at the Academy.
Another boy beside him spoke bitterly, “Earlier, Sakura Haruno was talking trash, saying that in a few days, Sasuke would beat you up and that you might not even pass today’s graduation exam. Choji couldn’t take it and argued with her. Somehow, it escalated into Choji provoking Class A, and then they started fighting.”
“Where are Ino and Shikamaru?” Yukigetsu asked.
“Shikamaru hasn’t been around for a few days like you, and Ino got dragged away by Sakura after the argument.”
Yukigetsu’s eyes narrowed, making the boys beside him uneasy. They knew him well and understood that this expression meant he was likely angry.
“Let’s go,” Yukigetsu said calmly.
The situation was clear. It was Sakura stirring up trouble again. She needed to be taught a lesson on how to behave.
“Huh?”
The boys were taken aback, “Class Rep, we should get more people or call a teacher. Class A has a lot of students…”
“It’s fine. Let’s go.”
Yukigetsu smiled, patting the boy on the shoulder.
The group exchanged looks, then nodded resolutely. They’d all get beaten at worst, but they couldn’t let Class A look down on them.
Leading the way, they quickly surrounded Yukigetsu and headed off. After a moment of confusion, the nearby students soon followed, their eyes alight with curiosity. Was Yukigetsu planning to take on the elite students of Class A? This was the biggest event since his fight with Rock Lee.
Hinata stepped out from the corner, her fingers nervously tapping together. She felt conflicted. Yukigetsu was clearly about to clash with Class A. As a Class A student herself, Hinata felt torn, unable to decide which side to support.
…
Bang!
A heavy collision sounded, followed by a plump figure stumbling back and falling to the ground.
“Class B students are getting more arrogant, and even some of them don’t dare to shout at me. I wonder where you get such confidence.”
A black-haired boy looked disdainfully at the fallen Choji and the surrounding Class B students, who glared angrily but said nothing. A mocking smile played on his lips.
Behind him were several Class A students behind him, including Naruto Uzumaki, looking annoyed, and Kiba Inuzuka, with his dog Akamaru on his head, smirking arrogantly at the Class B students.
The Class B students were clearly outmatched, especially with the pressure from the black-haired boy bearing the Uchiha clan’s fan symbol on his back. He was Uchiha Sasuke, the most renowned student in this year’s Academy.
“Uchiha Sasuke, don’t get too cocky. If Yukigetsu were here, you’d be the one in trouble,” Choji said, rubbing his face. His words, though intended to be harsh, lacked conviction.
“Yukigetsu?”
Sasuke raised an eyebrow while Kiba snorted disdainfully.
“That guy has some skills, but without chakra, he’s just a nobody. After the graduation exam, he’ll have to live like an ordinary person,” Sasuke sneered. “I’ll make him understand that it’s better for trash to stay humble.”
“Tch, if that guy shows up, I’ll teach him a lesson with Fang Over Fang,” Kiba said, baring his teeth.
At this moment, Sasuke frowned slightly, looking at the few Class B students before him. He clenched his fists and stepped forward, his expression darkening, “Before teaching Yukigetsu a lesson, I’ll deal with these losers first.”
He glanced at Choji, who was still on the ground, and added, “Especially this pig who dared to challenge me.”
The Class B students’ faces paled, but then they gritted their teeth and exchanged determined looks, “Let’s fight!”
They had some spirit. Seeing the growing crowd, they couldn’t let Class B be humiliated. They braced themselves to fight back.
But just as they were about to charge, a low voice interrupted, “What did you just call me?”
