Naruto Shadow Emperor Chapter 8

One Punch Knockout

Everyone was stunned upon hearing this and turned their heads to see the usually gentle Choji slowly getting up. His head was slightly lowered as if he was struggling to suppress some emotion.

However, in the next moment, he suddenly raised his head, his eyes blazing like an enraged bull. He roared, “Did you dare call me… a fat pig?”

“You dared to call me… a fat pig!”

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!…

“Human Bullet Tank!”

With several loud bangs, Choji decisively transformed into a human boulder. Amid the onlookers’ stunned gazes, he kicked up a cloud of dust and charged straight at Sasuke.

Class B students exchanged looks, their lips twitching. Someone suddenly remembered how Yukigetsu often said, “An enraged Choji is terrifying.” But they never thought the trigger for Choji’s rage would be something like this. It seemed the term “fat pig” was his sore spot. They would have to remember that in the future.

The spectators were equally wide-eyed. The situation had reversed almost instantly. Just moments ago, Choji was being beaten by Sasuke, but now he had transformed into a rolling boulder, chasing Sasuke all over the place.

Boom! Boom!…

“Yaaaa…”

With Choji’s roars, the school’s facilities suffered. Here a section collapsed, there a piece fell, turning into ruins as if struck by an earthquake.

After a while…

“Huff, huff…”

Choji finally ran out of chakra and stopped, hands on his knees, sweating and panting heavily.

Opposite him, Sasuke didn’t look as tired as Choji, but his face was grim. Being chased around by a former defeated opponent was humiliating. However, Choji’s secret technique was formidable. He wouldn’t risk facing it head-on for the sake of his pride. Now that Choji was out of chakra, he had plenty of time to teach him a lesson.

Bang!
Sasuke smirked coldly, stomping heavily on the ground. In the next moment, he shot forward like an arrow, leaping over several broken stones to appear in front of the panicked Choji.

Bang! Bang! Bang!…

Sasuke became a blur to the onlookers, darting around Choji, delivering countless punches and kicks. Choji couldn’t react in time, his body quickly showing bruises and swelling. The pain began to spread, and he thought about begging for mercy. His lips trembled, and his usually gentle nature began to reassert itself after his outburst.

But a vivid memory flashed before his eyes the next moment, striking deep within his heart.

It was a year ago.

Yukigetsu had fought Rock Lee for an entire day. Finally, Lee couldn’t hold on and admitted defeat. Yukigetsu was equally battered, covered in wounds, which Ino tended to with a mix of concern and jealousy. “You don’t even like Sakura Haruno. Why did you fight so hard for her?”

In the setting sun, Yukigetsu stood tall despite his torn clothes and numerous injuries. Amid falling willow leaves, his back remained straight as he gazed into the distance, speaking words beyond the maturity of their age.

“A man sometimes has to fight, even knowing it’s foolish and against overwhelming odds. This is a man’s pride.”

He never knew how deeply those words impacted Choji, Shikamaru, and Ino.

As their friendship grew, they learned many of Yukigetsu’s secrets. For example, he would inflict hundreds of wounds on himself three times a day, allowing his body’s healing ability to recover, thus stimulating his body’s capabilities slowly.

There was no such thing as an invulnerable body. He simply suffered injuries so frequently that his unique constitution manifested as remarkable healing abilities.

Occasionally, they watched as Yukigetsu, expressionless, made deep cuts on his body. Ino and Choji could hardly bear to look while Shikamaru watched with uncharacteristically deep eyes.

“You don’t need to look like that. I used to get hurt this much every day. Now I just inflict the wounds myself. I’m used to it. It doesn’t hurt.”

In the sunlight, Yukigetsu squinted and smiled, “I heard in this world the more tragic the childhood, the stronger you become.”

A man never admits defeat!
Choji bit down hard, his body covered in bruises, enduring punch after punch, yet he refused to fall.

Even though he was knocked down multiple times, he still, with trembling limbs, slowly stood up.

The onlookers’ amused expressions gradually faded, replaced by admiration.

Their changing expressions didn’t escape Sasuke’s notice, fueling his anger. Since that fateful event, he never allowed anyone to look down on him. Even with just one member left, the Uchiha clan deserved Konoha’s respect!

If you refuse to surrender, then go to the hospital heavily injured.

“Hmph!”

Sasuke snorted coldly, appearing before the sweat-drenched, teeth-clenching Choji. The next moment, his fist, carrying a sharp wind, aimed straight for Choji’s face.

Choji watched the incoming punch, raising his right hand but too weak to block it. He could only watch helplessly as the fist grew larger, then he closed his eyes in resignation, thinking he’d be bedridden for days.

But I didn’t give up, Yukigetsu…

“Ah…”

As Choji closed his eyes, he heard several gasps from around him, followed by a loud shout: “Yukigetsu, did you think I was dead? Take this, Fang Over Fang!”

Bang!
A loud crash followed. Choji felt a gust of wind blowing his face, but the expected pain didn’t come.

He opened his eyes slightly and froze. A tall figure stood firmly in front of him.

Choji’s eyes widened. Just by seeing the back, he knew it was the serene, reassuring figure of Yukigetsu.

“Yukigetsu…”

Choji scratched his head and smiled, then froze, eyes narrowing, as he saw Yukigetsu’s right hand dripping blood onto the ground.

Drip, drip…

“It’s nothing, just a scratch.”

Yukigetsu turned and smiled at Choji’s expression, patting his shoulder. “You did well. You didn’t disgrace the Akimichi clan.”

Choji grinned at the praise, then looked around to see Sasuke had retreated several dozen steps. Kiba lay on the ground nearby.

Yukigetsu had arrived just in time to see Sasuke beating Choji. Few earned his recognition, but Choji was one of them. Seeing him battered enraged Yukigetsu. Without hesitation, he charged forward.

However, Class A noticed him, particularly Kiba. Feeling ignored as Yukigetsu bypassed him to attack Sasuke, Kiba launched his secret technique, Fang Over Fang.

Yukigetsu was focused on saving Choji and didn’t have time to engage Kiba. Instead, he countered head-on with a powerful punch.

Although he nearly shattered his hand, he sent Kiba and Akamaru flying back into Sasuke, forcing Sasuke to abandon his attack. This led to the scene Choji witnessed.

Ignoring the struggling Kiba, Yukigetsu faced the somewhat unsettled Sasuke, saying calmly, “Uchiha Sasuke, you went too far today.”
