“Hmph!” Uchiha Jin snorted coldly, his overwhelming aura stopping the two advisors in their tracks. His gaze fixed on Koharu Utatane’s face.
“Do you have any objections?”
“We’re all comrades in the same village, Uchiha Jin. What you’re doing is going too far!” Koharu Utatane felt a chill under his menacing gaze but still tried to take the moral high ground.
“Comrades?” Uchiha Jin sneered, then spoke with disdain. “I just deposed the acting Hokage. I was mourning my fallen clansmen here when a mysterious person attacked me.”
“After I finally drove off this mysterious assailant, you so-called comrades show up to question me and even attempt to attack me! Is this your idea of comradeship?”
Asuma Sarutobi tried to struggle up, wanting to accuse Jin of provoking them first with his words, which led to their retaliation out of humiliation.
“You’re lying…”
But before Asuma could say more, a powerful force slammed him back into the ground, making him taste dirt once again.
“You…” Koharu Utatane’s anger flared, but hearing Jin mention a mysterious attacker made her and Homura Mitokado glance at Hiruzen Sarutobi in suspicion.

With Danzo, the impulsive scapegat, gone, it wasn’t impossible to think Hiruzen might have taken matters into his own hands.o
Hiruzen Sarutobi, feeling the questioning gazes of his old friends, knew he couldn’t bear such accusations. Ignoring his son, who was eating dirt, he urgently asked, “Who was this mysterious person?”
“Don’t make me warn you again, civilian! Hiruzen Sarutobi!” Uchiha Jin’s gaze was cold and uncompromising. “If it weren’t for your former title as Third Hokage and our plan to let the Fifth Hokage judge you, I’d have you thrown into the Police Force’s jail today!”
“Ugh…”
Hiruzen’s clenched fists shook with anger, but he forced himself to stay calm. His eyes reluctantly turned to Koharu for help.
“Who was this mysterious person?” Koharu asked while she and Homura carefully examined the battlefield.
The remnants of the battle told them a startling truth: Uchiha Jin had hidden an immense physical strength.
Even though the traces of Fire Release chakra were impressive, they were overshadowed by Susanoo’s power. Asuma’s and the others’ injuries and battle marks clearly indicated powerful physical attacks.
To overwhelm two well-equipped Jonin teams so decisively showed that Uchiha Jin’s strength was far beyond their previous estimations.
Another Uchiha Madara, perhaps!
When they remembered the terror that name once invoked in Konoha, Homura and Koharu couldn’t help but feel a chill.
As for the mysterious attacker, the traces left behind before Asuma’s team arrived confirmed Uchiha Jin had indeed fought another person.
Someone able to escape from such a powerful Uchiha Jin couldn’t be ordinary.

Homura and Koharu’s gazes once again turned to Hiruzen, their suspicion growing.

Koharu gave Hiruzen a questioning look, but he responded with an exasperated glare.
“It wasn’t me!”
Hiruzen didn’t dare respond directly. If his friends misunderstood, he wouldn’t be able to clear his name later.
Just as he was about to question Jin to prove his innocence, Jin’s warning gaze stopped him. He turned to Koharu for help again.
Koharu, still skeptical, chose to believe her old friend for now and firmly addressed Jin.
“I believe that mysterious person has no connection to the village. If Uchiha provides us with information, the village will help capture this person. Such a threat to the village cannot be ignored.”
“No connection, huh? Hmph.” Jin’s tone was cold and mocking. “A mysterious person with Mangekyo Sharingan and Wood Release? Tell me again, they have no connection to the village. Think carefully before you answer!”
“The Uchiha bloodline won’t tolerate any defilement. The last person who tried that is still suffering in my purgatory!”
The killing intent in his voice made the air colder. But the shock came from the information itself.
Even the wounded on the ground looked at Hiruzen with suspicion.

The last person with both was Danzo Shimura, who Jin had publicly executed.
So who else in the shinobi world could have both abilities besides Uchiha Jin falsely accusing someone, if not Hiruzen?
“It wasn’t me!”
Hiruzen’s face was a mix of shock and confusion. Jin’s first words indicate that he was lost, but all evidence points to him.
“I did not know of this. You must believe me!”
It’s not that we don’t believe you, it’s just that the evidence is overwhelming.
Homura and Koharu sighed inwardly but remembered their political alignment with Hiruzen. They turned their questioning gazes to Jin.
“Do you have any proof? There’s no evidence of Wood Release here. You’re a Mangekyo Sharingan user; how can you prove this attacker had Wood Release and Mangekyo Sharingan?”

Jin’s response was a maniacal laugh. After a long moment, he stopped and glared at them.
“Are you calling me a liar?”
“Who do you think you are!”
