“Enough with the nonsense!”
Jin from the Uchiha clan had no interest in waiting for Sarutobi Hiruzen to finish his internal debate. He loudly proclaimed to the attentive Konoha clans:
“Now that everyone important in the Leaf Village is here, and the deposed former acting Hokage has confirmed it, I declare Uchiha Fugaku’s eligibility to run for Hokage!”
“So if no one objects or wishes to compete, then Fugaku, leader of the Uchiha clan, will be the new Fifth Hokage!”
The crowd, initially focused on the ‘Jiraiya the Pervert’ case, started buzzing again.
Clearly, the idea of a Uchiha becoming the Fifth Hokage made many uneasy.
However, the Uchiha clan, being the strongest single force in the village, especially with their three pairs of Mangekyō Sharingan, made it hard for anyone to openly oppose them.
Seeing Jin’s aggressive tactics, Sarutobi Hiruzen realized he couldn’t waste any more time on Jiraiya’s situation. He called out urgently:
“Wait a minute!”
“Sarutobi Hiruzen, you are just a commoner! What right do you have to speak here?”
Jin’s eyes were icy, his tone dripping with killing intent, ready to strike at any moment.
“Sigh…”
Hiruzen sighed deeply, understanding that debating with Jin now would only benefit the Uchiha.
“I am still the head of the Sarutobi clan!”
His tone was defeated, acknowledging the success of the Police Force’s impeachment against him.
“Fine!”
Jin’s voice was full of sarcasm, but the murderous aura had subsided.
“The Sarutobi clan, though insignificant compared to the Senju and Uchiha, is still part of the Leaf Village. As its head, Hiruzen has the right to speak.”
“But,” Jin’s tone grew cold again, “if you, Hiruzen, dare to run or support any notorious figures for Hokage, don’t blame the Uchiha for acting out!”
“Hokage!”
“It’s a title established by the First Hokage with our Uchiha clan. No one can tarnish our honor!”
“Sigh…”
Hiruzen sighed again, feeling as if all his life’s work was being thrown back at him in these few days.
But considering the severity of Fugaku becoming Hokage, he had to stay calm and continued:
“Fugaku is qualified, but so are Choza Akimichi of the Akimichi clan, Hiashi Hyuga of the Hyuga clan, Shikaku Nara of the Nara clan, and Shibi Aburame of the Aburame clan…”

“A man who sacrifices his brother has no right to lead the Leaf. Does the Hyuga clan really think they can rival the Uchiha?”
“As for Uncle Choza… Alright, I acknowledge you.”
Initially ready to criticize Choza, Jin stopped short, impressed by Choza’s formidable presence and strong life force.
But Hiashi!
Facing Hiashi’s murderous gaze, Jin didn’t back down.

Seeing the interactions, Hiruzen felt a mix of emotions.
The Hyuga-Uchiha rivalry was expected, but Choza’s smooth performance seemed too convenient.

Suddenly, Jiraiya’s yellow hair flashed in his mind.
“Tsunade!”
Hiruzen shouted, and all eyes turned to him.
“Tsunade has been on secret missions. It’s time for her to return and, given her contributions, she’s also qualified to run for Hokage!”
“Oh!”
Jin raised an eyebrow mockingly.
“Are you trying to delay the election again?”
“No, I’m not!”
Facing Jin’s sharp gaze, Hiruzen firmly continued.
“Though no longer acting Hokage, Tsunade’s contributions are well known. Without her candidacy, would the Uchiha still find this fair?”
Not caring about anything else, Hiruzen tore down his remaining authority.
“How long for Tsunade to return?”
Unexpectedly, Jin was curious rather than opposed.
“A month. Tsunade can return within a month!”
Despite lacking news from Tsunade and Jin’s unusual response, Hiruzen’s answer was resolute, with a hint of challenge.
“Fine!”
Jin coldly smiled, turning to the crowd.
“The Senju’s honor is recognized by the Uchiha. Do you agree, Hiashi, and Choza?”
“Hmph!”
Hiashi snorted but said nothing. Choza smiled, clearly not objecting.
“Alright!”
“The Hokage election will be in a month!”
Hiruzen couldn’t believe Jin’s agreement, feeling like he was under a genjutsu.
But then he saw Jin’s familiar cold smile.
“But the Leaf can’t be leaderless. Since Fugaku, Hiashi, and Choza are competitors, they need to avoid conflicts of interest before the election.”
“With Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane’s gross negligence, they can’t be acting Hokage. The Uchiha won’t allow it!”
“So, as the new head of the Police Force and a core Leaf member, I, Jin of the Uchiha, will reluctantly serve as acting Hokage until the election!”
