“Leaf Hurricane!”
Might Guy channeled his strength into his legs, chakra exploding as he kicked out with a lightning-fast whirlwind leg.
The tall, thin ninja didn’t expect Might Guy to explode with such speed and was caught off guard, receiving a kick to the chest that sent him flying several meters back.
“Domen, block that way. I have to teach this brat a lesson for his useless dad,” the tall, thin ninja said through gritted teeth, feeling the pain in his chest.
The chubby ninja nodded and flickered past Might Guy, blocking his path back.
“Kid, you like fighting, huh? I want to see how you, a mere academy student, will hit me twenty-five times,” the tall, thin ninja said, rubbing his fists and launching a fierce attack at Might Guy.
The tall, thin Chunin’s punches rained down like a storm. Might Guy tried to engage him in a taijutsu battle but quickly found himself overwhelmed, his face and arms taking hits.
The tall ninja’s height advantage and combat experience quickly put Might Guy at a disadvantage.
Despite Might Guy’s usual prominence among his peers, his physique wasn’t enough to turn the tide.
Luckily, Might Guy’s extensive body movement training allowed him to dodge many hits.
Bam!
The chubby ninja took advantage of Might Guy’s dodging to kick him several meters away, crashing him into a wall.
“Have you been slacking off lately? How can you take so long to teach a brat still in school a lesson?” the chubby ninja laughed.
“Shut up, this kid is slippery, more so than a monkey,” the tall, thin ninja grumbled, flickering to stand in front of Might Guy.
“Kid, remember this: not everyone is as weak as your useless dad,” the tall ninja said, grabbing Might Guy by the front of his shirt and lifting him.
“That’s seven sentences,” Might Guy muttered.
“Still counting sentences? Do you think the punches weren’t painful enough?” the tall ninja growled, raising his fist to strike Might Guy.
Might Guy kicked the wall beside him, using the force to break free from the tall ninja’s grip.
The tall ninja was about to rush at him again when Might Guy suddenly vanished.
“Watch your back!” the chubby ninja warned.
The tall ninja spun around, punching just in time to meet Might Guy’s incoming kick.
Might Guy backed off a few steps, looking around and thinking of a strategy. This was his first time fighting two opponents, both of whom were stronger.
Despite his exceptional performance, Might Guy was soon covered in dust from falling multiple times.
However, mastering Soru allowed Might Guy to burst out with sudden speed, leaving footprints on the tall ninja twice.
“Huff, huff.” Might Guy panted heavily, his legs trembling uncontrollably as he half-kneeled on the ground.
So far, he has used Soru five times. After the fourth time, his legs were already exhausted, but Might Guy gritted his teeth and continued. Now, his legs were tired.
“Hehe, can’t run anymore, huh? Keep going. Aren’t you going to avenge your useless dad?” the tall ninja sneered.
Might Guy’s continuous actions have enraged him entirely? Now, he just wanted to beat Might Guy up.
“Are we sure we got the right information? This kid doesn’t act like a dead last,” the chubby ninja said.
“Who cares if he’s dead last? We have to beat him up so he knows who not to mess with!” the tall ninja said, clenching his fists.
“Still not successful,” Might Guy thought bitterly, watching the tall ninja approach.
Two ninjas, his impending defeat, the twilight hour—it all felt like three years ago.
He didn’t regret standing up for his father, only that his strength was insufficient to defeat them.
“If only I had mastered Rock Breathing…” Might Guy think again of the day Mokutsuki demonstrated the terrifying power of Rock Breathing?
With Total Concentration Breathing, Mokutsuki’s speed and strength were enhanced in all aspects, making each taijutsu move immensely powerful.
As Might Guy panted heavily, the enemy approached closer, and Mokutsuki’s teachings became more apparent in his mind.
“Rock Breathing is like the breath of a rock, strong and resilient. Master it deeply, and you can protect everything you want to protect like a rock,” Mokutsuki’s voice echoed in his ears.
Suddenly, Might Guy felt he had grasped something.
“Huff.” Might Guy tightened his abdomen, inhaling deeply and exhaling white breath. His breathing rhythm changed dramatically.
The tall ninja kept talking, but Might Guy ignored him, focusing all his energy on his breathing.
As he continued to breathe, Might Guy felt his strength regenerating; even his exhausted legs seemed to regain power.
His legs stopped trembling, and he stood up, facing the tall ninja.
This time, he would use the strength of a rock to protect his father!
“Huh? He can still stand?” the tall ninja was surprised, seeing Might Guy’s legs had been shaking earlier.
But the tall ninja still didn’t take Might Guy seriously, thinking he was just putting on a brave face.
“Rock Breathing, Total Concentration Breathing, Leaf Strong Whirlwind!”
Inhaling large amounts of oxygen to strengthen every cell in his body, Might Guy felt unprecedented power. Using Soru again, he appeared beside the tall ninja and kicked with a spin.
The tall ninja saw Might Guy disappear and then felt a foot slamming into his chest.
Bam!
The tall ninja crashed into a wall with a heavy thud.
“How is it possible? That eternal Genin’s son could be this strong,” was the tall ninja’s last thought before losing consciousness.
The chubby ninja’s jaw dropped in shock.
But Might Guy didn’t give the chubby ninja time to react. He immediately used Leaf Great Whirlwind, sending the chubby ninja into the wall as well.
“That’s eight sentences,” Might Guy said, walking to the two ninjas. He counted and punched five times, then exited the breathing state. Despite his exhaustion, he completed the forty punches without missing a single one.
“Guy, you’ve grown much stronger,” Kakashi suddenly appeared and said.
