“How was your holiday, Izumo?”
“It’s a long story. How about you, Kotetsu?”
“I’m still dealing with my devious cousin.”
“How devious?”
“He completely ignored the peace agreement we made and reactivated his sneaky tactics. I’ve been scolded by my parents several times because of him.”
“That’s truly devious!”
“But I’m not one to be trifled with. I ‘accidentally’ broke his favorite miniature Third Hokage statue, breaking off a leg and an arm.”
“You’re ruthless!” Kamizuki Izumo gave Hagane Kotetsu a thumbs up, thinking, you’re even more devious than he is.
“And what about you, Izumo? Why is it a long story?” Kotetsu asked.
“Remember the neighbor girl I had a good feeling about? I thought I’d impress her with my good exam results and approach her as a strong candidate.”
“And did you succeed?”
“No. I spent a few days preparing, then summer training started. With all the training, I completely forgot about her. When I remembered, she was already playing with another boy.”
“It’s alright, maybe he’s just a relative,” Kotetsu reassured, relieved by the outcome.
“It’s impossible for them to be relatives! They better not be related!” Kotetsu hoped internally.
“Didn’t you two go out to have fun during the holidays? I found a newly opened dango shop that’s pretty good,” Anko Mitarashi chimed in.
The two weren’t interested in the dango shop unless Anko had a cute friend tagging along.
“Oh, by the way, I saw the schedule earlier. It looks like we have taijutsu class today,” Kotetsu remembered.
“Wonder who our new taijutsu teacher will be.”
During the summer training, Mokutsuki mentioned that the taijutsu teacher would change but didn’t reveal who it would be.
“Anyone would be better than Tanimura-sensei. He didn’t teach anything useful,” Izumo said.
After being taught taijutsu by Mokutsuki during the summer training, Izumo felt that Tanimura Yanahiro had been teaching nothing helpful.
“I’d be happy if they’re at least two-thirds as good as Mokutsuki-sensei,” Kotetsu said, feeling his expectations were reasonable.
“Let’s head to the training ground,” Mokutsuki announced as he entered the classroom.
“Is Mokutsuki-sensei our taijutsu teacher for this term?” Anko asked excitedly.
“Yes,” Mokutsuki confirmed with a smile.
“Great! If there’s summer training again, I’m sure I can get into Group B!” Kotetsu cheered.
His expectation was two-thirds of Mokutsuki’s level, but now it was Mokutsuki himself, far exceeding expectations.
The entire class cheered. Having Mokutsuki as their taijutsu teacher was fantastic news.
“Settle down a bit, everyone. Don’t get too excited. Let’s head to training,” Mokutsuki said with a smile.
He led Class 1-A to the training ground.
Feeling the familiar relaxed class atmosphere, some students remarked:
“The holiday was too long. I started missing Mokutsuki-sensei’s classes a month ago.”
“Yeah, and there wasn’t much to do during the break. I was bored after half a month.”
Hearing their classmates, Kotetsu and Izumo couldn’t relate. Those who went through the summer training barely had half a month of holiday.
“Tanimura-sensei said taijutsu can’t be taught in detail, but Mokutsuki-sensei teaches very thoroughly,” a student compared Mokutsuki to Tanimura.
“Focus on your training. We can discuss this after class,” Mokutsuki gently reminded.
This term, Mokutsuki was responsible for all of Class 1-A, teaching theory, taijutsu, and ninjutsu.
Mokutsuki aimed to create an elite class, maximizing system rewards and proving his teaching value.
If it were Tanimura, the students might argue back while training. But since it was Mokutsuki, everyone instantly quieted down and trained earnestly.

[Reward: Painful Heaven Kick]
Memories of training with Painful Heaven Kick flashed through Mokutsuki’s mind.
He remembered it was Tsunade’s taijutsu technique, simple but powerful, capable of cracking the ground with a single kick.
Though it seemed simple, the technique wasn’t easy. It required a unique chakra burst technique, significantly boosting power and could be called “monstrous strength.”
The reward was good. He had learned a new chakra technique and could pass it on to Rin.
Though it was a taijutsu move, Painful Heaven Kick wasn’t suitable for Guy because it required high chakra control, needing precise manipulation.
“This afternoon’s theory class is a large class in the big lecture hall,” Mokutsuki reminded before leaving.
“A large class? What’s that?” The students were confused. They noticed the schedule indicating a different classroom but didn’t know why.
“This afternoon’s theory class will combine students from Classes 1 to 4,” Mokutsuki explained.
“That many people in one class sounds lively,” a student commented.
“It’s like summer training all over again,” Izumo noted, feeling familiar.
Mokutsuki didn’t explain further. It was simply four classes combined, nothing special.
Large classes tested students’ self-discipline since the teacher couldn’t manage everyone simultaneously.
However, this wasn’t Mokutsuki’s old world. Here, teachers were ninjas, almost superhuman.
Mokutsuki felt theory classes wouldn’t be too hard to manage.
“Kotetsu, Izumo, what training were you talking about? You guys seem much stronger,” some classmates asked after class.
There were two exams per term, and they trained together daily, so they knew each other’s strengths well. Kotetsu and Izumo’s significant progress was noticeable.
“During the break, Mokutsuki-sensei organized summer training. We trained with fourth-year students for five weeks,” Kotetsu explained.
“There were mostly fourth-year students. Only eight students from other grades participated,” Kotetsu added, slightly lifting his head.
Though he didn’t rank in the top three of his class in combat scores, he was in the top eight of his grade.
Some were envious, while others felt it was too exhausting. Training for five weeks right after the holiday, then starting school again soon after.
“I’ve had some stomach issues today, been to the bathroom four times tonight, so updates are a bit late.”
