[Name: Hanyu Mokutsuki]
[Age: 18]
[Chakra: 8000]
[Skills: Teaching, Fire Release: Head Carving Fire, Palm Healing Jutsu, Wind Release: Pressure Damage, Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall, Eight Gates… ]
[Evaluation: You have mastered seven chakra nature transformations and are proficient in Fire and Water Release. In a direct clash, you can overwhelm ordinary Jonin. Just continue increasing your chakra, and you will become a formidable force.]
Compared to the end of last month’s exam, the panel’s data has increased significantly.
Due to the training mission, the chakra growth this month has been particularly noticeable.
When Mokutsuki first arrived in April, his chakra had increased by a total of one thousand, from four thousand three hundred to five thousand three hundred. Including the five hundred chakras from the early May exam, it was five thousand eight hundred.
From the end of the May exam to the beginning of June, it increased significantly more, from five thousand eight hundred to eight thousand, a total increase of two thousand two hundred chakras.
Mokutsuki used to envy Root’s jonin with seven thousand chakra. In just two months, he had surpassed them, now having one thousand more chakra than a Root jonin.
However, Mokutsuki knew that it would be challenging to maintain this rate of chakra growth from June to July.
Such a significant increase was due to Obito’s completed training mission, and currently, there were no new training missions. The following exam was not until mid-July.
Besides the impressive chakra increase, Mokutsuki also received rewards like proficiency in Water Release chakra nature transformation, proficiency in Fire Release: Head Carving Fire, and proficiency in Yin Release chakra nature transformation.
These rewards greatly enhanced Mokutsuki’s combat abilities. Having ample chakra but no skills would be awkward.
Mastery of various chakra nature transformations was Mokutsuki’s most desired reward.
With proficiency in Water and Fire nature transformations, not only did his output for corresponding elemental jutsu increase, but Mokutsuki also felt that with a few years of effort, he might even develop a Bloodline Limit like Boil Release.
If he mastered all seven chakra nature transformations, Mokutsuki couldn’t imagine what he could develop—maybe even create Truth-Seeking Balls?
Mokutsuki thought about it and concluded that proficiency might not be the highest level. There might be a higher level required to create Truth-Seeking Balls.
But even without them, developing various Bloodline Limits seemed promising.
“Obito, Kakashi, it’s great that you both tied for first place,” Rin smiled sweetly, congratulating them.
Both were her good friends, and tying for first was the best outcome.
“Hehe, it’s also thanks to your cheering,” Obito said, his face flushing with excitement as his fantasy from twenty days ago became reality.
Without Kakashi’s name, it would have been perfect, Obito thought to himself.
“A tie means it’s a draw,” Guy pondered.
He had permanently lost to Kakashi in their battles, never achieving a draw.
Seeing Obito tie with Kakashi in ninjutsu inspired Guy. He wanted to challenge Kakashi to a rematch.
“Kakashi, to celebrate your first place, let’s have a match!” Guy’s eagerness was evident.
“I refuse. Who celebrates like that? Winning this kind of competition doesn’t need celebrating,” Kakashi declined, taking the opportunity to belittle Obito.
Obito wanted to argue but noticed Mokutsuki and Asuma approaching, so he refrained.
“Obito, have you been hiding your skills during exams? You’ve suddenly become so powerful,” Asuma joked, running up to Obito and patting him on the shoulder.
“Not at all. It’s all thanks to learning from you, Asuma,” Obito replied.
He had persisted with the water-walking training thanks to Mokutsuki, who used Asuma as an example.
“Haha, I should be learning from you. Your Fire Release is impressive,” Asuma laughed, thinking Obito was just being friendly, and put his arm around Obito’s shoulders.
“Mokutsuki-sensei,” Rin, Obito, and Guy greeted Mokutsuki as he approached.
Rin knew Mokutsuki well since he often substituted for their class.
“Well done,” Mokutsuki smiled, encouraging them before quickly leaving with Asuma.
He had instructed his three disciples to act like typical teacher-student relationships in public, without revealing their close ties. This way, others wouldn’t suspect anything.
Even so, Mokutsuki preferred to limit contact with Obito when others were around, knowing how unreliable he could be at this stage.
Before leaving, Mokutsuki used his appraisal jutsu on Kakashi.
[Name: Kakashi Hatake]
[Chakra: 2500]
[Potential: S]
[Evaluation: Suited for Lightning and Earth Release training. Recommended for apprenticeship.]
Seeing Kakashi’s panel, Mokutsuki felt a twinge of temptation.
At eight years old, with 2500 chakra, Kakashi’s potential was extraordinary.
Mokutsuki had appraised many chunin instructors at the Academy, most of whom had between 1500-2500 chakra. Kakashi, at eight, already surpassed many chunin in chakra levels.
If he took Kakashi as a disciple and built a high trust level, the chakra gains would be substantial.
However, Mokutsuki quickly dismissed the tempting idea. Kakashi was more easily influenced than Obito. Already a chunin, why would he train under another chunin teacher?
“Even Kakashi’s potential is only S. Does that mean without Six Paths’ lineage, the highest potential is S?” Mokutsuki pondered.
Having appraised many individuals, he knew potential didn’t equal talent. Despite both having S potential, Obito and Guy were far behind Kakashi in the Academy.
Mokutsuki believed potential represented a person’s possibilities.
Those from families with Six Paths lineage had more significant potential. Among the Hyuga and Uchiha clans, he hadn’t seen anyone with less than A potential.
Yet, despite such high potential, not everyone in these clans became Jonin. The two gatekeepers, who were B-, still advanced to special Jonin in the storyline.
After Mokutsuki and Asuma left, Obito and the others decided to celebrate by eating ramen.
Obito, feeling generous after winning first place, treated everyone to ramen.
During the meal, Obito and Kakashi continued to bicker.
“Have you ever ranked first in your year at the Academy?” Kakashi asked coolly.
“Talk to me about winning when you’ve consistently ranked first before graduation,” Kakashi added.
Obito couldn’t respond. He had never ranked first, not even in his class.
Guy paused his ramen-eating. Kakashi’s words hit him, too, as he had never ranked first either.
Meanwhile, Mokutsuki, who is tutoring Asuma, received a system notification.
