One Piece Admiral Seirin Chapter 49

The Curtain Rises on the Drama

Boom!

The wall of the fireplace exploded, and a large mass of sticky white substance shot out, heading straight for Glus and Peacock.

Peacock was about to react when she felt herself being pushed aside by Glus.

“This guy’s Devil Fruit ability is strange. Once it sticks to you, it’s hard to break free. You go first! I’ll hold him off!”

Glus grabbed the sofa he had been sitting on and threw it at the incoming sticky substance.

Bang!

The sofa shattered into pieces, scattering wood chips everywhere.

The white substance continued its trajectory, undeterred.

Glus quickly bent down, pressing his hands on the ground. The carpet rose rapidly, and the floor beneath it piled up, forming a wall of earth.

“Clay Wall!”

Boom!

The white sticky substance hit the rising earth wall, finally being stopped.

Seeing this, Peacock dashed toward the figure emerging from the broken fireplace, her whip lashing out.

“What a fierce woman.”

With a snap, Peacock’s face lit up as she saw her whip hit a man wearing a metal mask, encased in heavy metal clothing.

“As long as I can turn the enemy into an ally, this battle can still be won!”

Peacock had great confidence in her ability.

Her Whip-Whip Fruit might sound somewhat suggestive, but its actual use was far more potent.

Enemies struck by her whip would temporarily become allies, unable to disobey her commands, completely at her mercy.

This ability to turn minds depended on the target’s strength, willpower, and Haki among other factors.

Even more terrifying was that this control was not limited to living beings but could also affect inanimate objects.

So, even though the metal clothing blocked her whip, Peacock could still command that metal clothing to leave the man’s body and then strike his flesh again!

A sneer appeared on Gladius’s face under his mask. The right sleeve hit by the whip did start to writhe, as if trying to escape.

But in the next moment, his entire right arm swelled up crazily, turning into a round balloon aimed at the airborne Peacock.

“Black Feather Explosion!”

Glus was shocked. “Get out of the way! His body can explode!”

Just as he spoke, Gladius’s right arm exploded, sending a violent shockwave towards Peacock.

Boom!

A gust of wind swept through the king’s bedchamber, causing the entire hall to tremble.

“Iron Body!”

Peacock crossed her arms just as the shockwave hit, sending her flying through the wall.

“I told you to escape first! These guys are insanely strong! That’s how I got captured.”

Glus hurriedly ran towards where Peacock had been blown away.

“Fufufufu, it seems Ilya’s planned show is about to start. I wonder if the Young Master has arrived.”

From the broken fireplace, a hunchbacked old man covered in a sticky white substance emerged, leaning on a cane, grinning wickedly.

A man and a woman followed him out.

To the left was Gladius, clad in heavy metal clothing.

To the right was Baby 5, wearing a maid’s outfit and carrying a bazooka.

Gladius peered over the broken wall and saw Peacock and the others fleeing with Glus.

“Should we attack now and kill them, or wait for the Young Master to arrive?”

Trebol sniffed his sticky nose.

“Fufufufu, the main Marine force is fighting that big bug in the city. These are just small fry. Whether we kill or injure them doesn’t matter.”

“By the way, Law is here too. What a joy! The Young Master has been looking for him for years, and he’s been hiding in the North Blue all this time.”

“Law? Where is he? It’s been years since I’ve seen him. I want to catch him and bring him back to the Donquixote Family!”

Baby 5’s eyes sparkled a sweet smile appearing on her face.

“No rush, this is the real stage where the drama will unfold. The performers will gather here, it just needs a little time.”

The group walked to the windowsill and looked down, seeing a group of people running across the stone bridge below.

Suddenly, a buzzing noise from the sky, like a helicopter, caught their attention.

On the bridge, Peacock, with blood trickling from her mouth, looked up to see a buck-toothed fat man spinning down from the sky, crashing headfirst into the stone bridge ahead of them.

Boom!

The entire bridge shook violently, the surface breaking apart, with large chunks of stone falling.

“Damn, the path to the city is cut off!” Beppo yelled.

“Should we jump off the bridge?” a lieutenant shouted.

“Below the bridge is the inland sea of the Prince Kingdom. If the Devil Fruit users fall in, it’s over! If they lose their combat capability, this mission is done! So no jumping, we jump over!”

A lieutenant shouted and ran towards the broken part of the bridge.

Just then, the buzzing noise from below the bridge intensified.

Boom!

Another explosion and the bridge under the lieutenant’s feet crumbled as Buffalo shot up from below, cutting off the lieutenant’s legs with his spinning right hand.

Splat!

Two legs flew up, blood splattering the stones.

“Ah!”

The lieutenant screamed but pulled out his flintlock pistol, shooting Buffalo in mid-air.

Bang!

A severed finger fell from the sky.

“Ah! Damn it! My pinky!”

Buffalo’s scream was louder than the legless lieutenant’s.

The other lieutenants didn’t panic. Some rushed to the aid of their injured comrade, others picked up the severed legs, while others drew their swords, guarding the skies.

“I have an idea, let me handle it!”

Glus stepped forward, pressing his hands on the ground. The hard bridge surface quickly softened, extending forward like clay, forming a wide slab that bridged the gap.

Among the group, no one had mastered Moonwalk, so they couldn’t walk through the air and had to use the ground.

“What a troublesome ability, similar to yours, Trebol.”

Baby 5 glanced at the snotty old man, lit a cigarette, and aimed her bazooka at the newly formed bridge.

“Oh yeah, Trebol, why are you and Ilya so sure these guys are Marines?”

She tilted her head, pulling the trigger as she asked.

Boom!

A massive explosion erupted just ahead of Glus, sending debris flying and smashing the newly formed bridge again.

“Fufufufu, it’s simple. Who else but self-righteous Marines would risk their lives to meddle in Prince Kingdom’s affairs?”
