As Foxy intensely focused on the shattered rubble, heavy footsteps echoed from within, accompanied by an overwhelming, menacing presence.
In the dim light, a massive silhouette began to expand, sharp fangs dripping with saliva, fur sprouting all over its body, powerful legs, and a tail swaying back and forth. Its hands transformed into razor-sharp claws.
Step by step, the figure emerged from the rubble under the streetlights: a humanoid beast radiating a savage aura, staring at Foxy with cruel eyes.
“Zoan-type Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Wolf,” murmured some pirates around, their faces filled with fear as they stared at the nearly five-meter-tall Patron.
Now, Patron was a towering wolf, his ferocious appearance alone making one feel the chill of being hunted by a wild beast.
“Kid, you’ve angered me,” growled Patron, standing on the steps. His face was contorted with rage, and saliva dripped from his sharp teeth.
Foxy’s body tensed, taking a fighting stance, signaling his readiness to Patron.
“You’re courting death.”
Patron vanished from his spot with a cold gaze, reappearing instantly before Foxy, his powerful wolf leg swinging with a whistling sound.
Foxy’s eyes remained calm, prepared for the attack. He dodged by bending down and attempted a counterattack. However, Patron followed up with a second kick.
Sensing the immense force, Foxy avoided confrontation, flipping twice in mid-air to evade. But with Patron’s enhanced strength, speed, and recovery due to his Zoan-type powers, he quickly regained the upper hand.
“Boom…”
The cobblestones shattered under Patron’s enormous leg, causing Foxy’s expression to change drastically.
Struggling to control his body, Foxy tried to evade, but Patron’s knee darkened with Armament Haki, enlarged in his view.
There was no way to dodge.
Even with the prediction from his Observation Haki, he couldn’t react in time.
Crossing his arms to protect his abdomen, Foxy’s face twisted in pain as the impact launched him into the air like a cannonball.
The wind roared past his ears, Foxy spitting blood, his arms trembling uncontrollably.
“Swish…”
The ground exploded as Patron appeared above Foxy, stomping down without hesitation.
Like a meteor falling, the street shook. Countless shards of stone shot out like bullets, and a dense cloud of dust obscured everyone’s view. A fierce wind whipped up, creating a web of cracks on the ground.
Onlookers were shocked, some unable to bear watching.
Foxy had no power to counterattack against Patron, who was toying with him like a cat with a mouse.
“Quack… Quack…” Donald Duck grew anxious in the crowd, wanting to rush out but restraining himself because Foxy hadn’t called for him.
Standing on the ground, Patron watched the dust settle with a mocking gaze.
With so many people present, he decided to torture Foxy to make an example of him, showcasing his terror.
“Cough… cough…”
In the crater, Foxy spat blood, his face pale.
Pushing aside the rubble, Foxy staggered to his feet, suppressing the pain as he walked out. His gaze on Patron grew more intense.
His whole body ached as if falling apart, but Foxy felt a strange sensation. Besides the pain, there was a heat building up inside him.
Foxy resisted using his Devil Fruit power, wanting to push his limits through the fight. The strange feeling grew more robust with each clash, possibly hinting at Armament Haki.
Although just a guess, Foxy’s excitement was palpable.
“Is that all you’ve got? You can’t even kill a kid.”
Smirking with bloodstained teeth, Foxy’s eyes held a mocking glint.
“Glug…”
Some pirates around swallowed hard, staring at Foxy like he was crazy. Was the kid provoking Patron?
“Very well.”
Patron’s face darkened, but he also smiled a ghastly sight.
“Swish…”
Disappearing from his spot, Foxy launched an attack, which Patron found humiliating.
“Bang!”
Foxy’s Shigan struck Patron’s right arm, who coldly watched Foxy. “I’ll tear you apart.”
“Let’s see if you can.”
It felt like striking steel. Foxy saw Patron’s arm covered in Armament Haki, then swept his leg towards Patron’s waist.
Clang…
Patron’s left hand sprouted blade-like claws, slashing toward Foxy’s head like lightning.
Death loomed, and Foxy felt a bone-chilling cold.
Pushing his observation of Haki to its limit, Foxy narrowly avoided the attack but still got injured.
Five deep claw marks appeared on his left chest, down to the bone.
With a fierce expression, Foxy continued his kick towards Patron. The impact pushed Patron back a few steps, his face contorting like a ghost’s.
Swish…
Foxy’s figure is blurred. He crossed his arms defensively, but Patron reappeared and kicked him squarely.
Foxy flew, smashing through buildings and landing bloodied in the rubble. Before he could recover, Patron stomped down.
Foxy barely avoided the foot that created a ten-meter crater.
Leaping to the street, Foxy panted heavily, blood covering his face and trickling into his right eye. He didn’t have time to wipe it as Patron disappeared again.
A pressure wave signaled Patron’s arrival, claws slashing like the wind.
Foxy was ready, vanishing just in time, appearing behind Patron with a Shigan ready.
But he abandoned the attack, dodging a tail swipe covered in Armament Haki.
Relentlessly using Soru and Observation Haki, Foxy calmed from his initial panic, though struggling to keep up.
A storm of attacks followed. Foxy appeared on Patron’s left, Shigan striking like a bullet.
Patron ignored the attack, kicking at Foxy.
As Foxy considered dodging, a heat surged through his body, focusing on his fingers.
At that moment, Foxy felt his Shigan could pierce steel.
With the unknown heat, Foxy decided not to dodge, his face fierce.
“Splurt… Crack…”
It felt like being hit by a train. Foxy’s chest cracked, blood spurting from his mouth and nose as he was blasted away, creating a crater and smashing through ruins, buried under debris with a loud crash.
