Everyone held their breath, anticipating the sight of Foxy being torn to pieces by Patron.
No one felt sorry for Foxy; instead, they were eager to witness his gruesome end.
Struggling to stay on his feet, Foxy half-closed his blood-red eyes, watching Patron approach. There was no fear on his face, only excitement.
With a cold glint, Patron, like an exposed lion, slashed his right claw towards Foxy’s neck.
Patron was confident, believing Foxy was as good as dead, like a mouse under a cat’s paw. This overconfidence made him careless.
Unbeknownst to Patron, Foxy had already formed his left hand into an orchid finger position. At the last moment, Foxy dodged the critical strike to his neck, allowing Patron’s claw to pierce his right shoulder.
This was a deliberate move by Foxy. He wasn’t sure if his slow light could hit Patron, even at such close range.
To ensure success, he had to pay a price.
Foxy’s ruthlessness towards himself was undeniable.
From the beginning, he refrained from using his ability to train himself and avoid alerting his opponent. If the ability fails once, the Patron will be on guard.
Patron was no ordinary thug; his vigilance and combat experience far exceeded Foxy’s. Thus, his ability was his trump card.
Now, Foxy could barely hold on. He had trained enough, and pushing further would be foolish. It was time to decide the outcome.
Ignoring the searing pain, Foxy smiled brightly, his blood-covered face appearing particularly gruesome.
For some reason, Patron felt a pang of fear. Before he could react, it was too late.
A pink halo enveloped him, slowing everything down. Patron’s eyes were filled with confusion and then terror.
Foxy didn’t waste any time. After releasing his ability with his left hand, he formed a Shigan and thrust it towards Patron’s throat.
The patron could only watch helplessly as Foxy attacked.
With a grunt, Foxy pulled out Patron’s claw and then relentlessly drove his Shigan into Patron’s throat again.
“Splurt… splurt…”
The sound of a sharp object piercing flesh repeatedly filled the air. Foxy had nearly severed half of Patron’s neck.
Blood droplets floated slowly in the air, a stark sight.
Remembering that Patron was a Zoan-type Devil Fruit user with high recovery and vitality, Foxy leaped onto Patron’s shoulder. Grabbing Patron’s bloody neck, he yanked it upward.
With a brutal tear, Patron was split in two, his head clutched in Foxy’s hand, eyes still wide with fear.
All this happened in just a few seconds.
Foxy acted decisively, giving Patron no chance to survive. Decapitation meant death for a Zoan user, except for a few mighty ones.
As time resumed, blood gushed from Patron’s neck like a fountain. His headless body fell to the ground, quickly forming a crimson pool.
Holding Patron’s head, Foxy watched as the light faded from Patron’s eyes.
The crowd was stunned into silence, their eyes glued to Foxy.
Breathing heavily, Foxy, covered in blood and holding Patron’s head, wavered and half-knelt, coughing up clots of blood.
“He… he killed Patron…”
“Pat… Patron was killed by a mere Marine sergeant.”
Terror filled the onlookers’ eyes as they stared at Foxy, who now looked terrifying with his ruthless demeanor, something unimaginable for a boy his age.
“Captain…”
The members of the Evil Wolf Pirates were in shock, staring at Patron’s headless body in disbelief.
Their captain, killed by a kid? Impossible.
“Damn it, kill him and avenge the captain.”
Battle Captain Klenk gripped his sword, glaring at Foxy.
“Kill him.”
Led by Klenk, over thirty pirates charged at Foxy.
“Bang…”
A dozen bullets flew toward Foxy, who was now too weak to fight back.
“Gao…”
A yellow figure flashed by at the critical moment, causing sparks as the bullets hit the ground. Donald Duck held Foxy ten meters away, glaring fiercely at Klenk and his men, his round eyes full of anger.
“Ignore them, get back to the base.”
Lying on Donald Duck’s back, Foxy was exhausted but still clutched Patron’s head tightly, viewing it as his military merit and a step closer to mastering the Six Powers.
“Gao.”
Donald Duck spread his wings slightly to secure Foxy and dashed towards the Marine base with all his speed.
In mere minutes, Donald Duck crossed from the center of Loguetown to the Marine base area.
Fortunately, Donald Duck wasn’t lost; otherwise, the consequences could have been dire.
By this time, Foxy had fainted, and the strong smell of blood was making Donald Duck anxious. Despite being drenched in Foxy’s blood, Donald Duck held onto Patron’s head.
Entering the base, the same lieutenant stood guard, now bewildered by the sight of the blood-soaked Foxy on Donald Duck’s back, holding a bleeding head.
“Gao… gao…”
Donald Duck squawked anxiously at the lieutenant.
“Follow me, to the infirmary.”
Coming to his senses, the lieutenant, with a grave expression, quickly led the way to the infirmary.
A few minutes later, Donald Duck paced the infirmary hallway, occasionally standing on tiptoe to peer inside with his round eyes.
The lieutenant stood beside Donald Duck, unfazed by the human-like behavior.
“I told you not to go out carelessly. If I’m not mistaken, this is the head of the 70-million-Beli bounty Pirate Captain Patron! What on earth were you doing out there?”
Initially, the lieutenant didn’t recognize the head. But upon closer inspection, he realized it was Patron.
“Gao gao…”
Donald Duck waved his wings, exaggerating the events, leaving the lieutenant stunned.
In the end, the lieutenant looked at Donald Duck as if he’d seen a ghost, feeling that the duck was tricking him.
