This was a war against the pirates.
Yes, it is not a battle but a small-scale war!
Numerous pirate ships had gathered here. Although they were disorganized and lacked the formation and discipline of an army, their sheer numbers were overwhelming!
If it had just been the Marines stationed here, they would have been sufficient for everyday defense without needing the Royal Guard’s intervention.
At this moment, Michion was surrounded by various colored auras, reflecting the enhancements he provided to Tina, Sora, and the others. These buffs increased their strength, speed, stamina, and other attributes, giving them an edge in their fights.
Through continuous development, Michion also created an aura that significantly boosted his defense.
Michion had considered merging various single-attribute auras into one that would enhance multiple attributes, but he quickly realized there was a long way to go.
The enhancement provided by the auras depended on the individual’s strength—the more substantial the person, the less noticeable the effect of the auras. However, three buffs offered a complete enhancement for those with low strength.
However, Michion was an exception; he could fully benefit from his enhancements.
Michion had tested this on the Marine commander sent to help defend the Ishtar Kingdom, and through multiple attempts, he concluded that his fruit ability development still had a long way to go.
For now, Tina, Sean, and others, who were not as strong as Michion, could fully enjoy the three-ringed enhancements.
At this moment, Michion was fighting with a notable pirate captain who had set his sights on him.
Standing around two meters tall with bronze-colored muscles, this pirate captain looked like a philosophical bodybuilder.
Indeed, his strong physique provided immense defense, making him the recent rising star of North Blue—Iron Man Aston!
Aston lived up to his moniker. Michion, despite his current strength, couldn’t harm him. Left with no other choice, Michion opted for a hit-and-run tactic.
What was strange, however, was that no matter how Aston attacked—from any angle—Michion could effortlessly dodge by a hair’s breadth, as if he anticipated every move.
Using observation haki paired with the Paper Art technique for evasion, Michion found dealing with a bulky opponent like this too easy.
Hailing from the North Blue, Aston had no idea that Michion was using Observation Haki. Frustrated by Michion’s slippery movements, Aston grew increasingly furious.
“Kid, if you have guts, stop running!” The philosophical captain’s temper matched his appearance—fiery.
“Boom!”
Michion had no intention of directly confronting such a physically gifted opponent. As a teenager, he knew better than to engage in a raw strength contest with such a brute.
Sidestepping a left straight punch without even looking, Michion quickly hit Aston’s exposed leg before retreating to continue his evasive strategy.
The fight was at a stalemate.
According to investigations by the North Blue branch, Aston had stolen and mastered the “Iron Body” technique from the Marines, coupled with his natural physical prowess. Unfortunately, he chose the path of piracy instead of justice.
Even with his enhanced strength, Michion couldn’t injure Aston. But Aston, lacking speed, couldn’t catch the nimble Michion using Observation Haki.
Even without Haki, Michion’s agility was enough to toy with a power-centric opponent like Aston.
The two were stuck in a deadlock, unable to overcome each other.
“Kid, your punches don’t hurt at all! With such weak attacks, you should just go home and drink milk! When I catch you, I’ll sell you as a slave to suffer endlessly!!” Aston taunted, trying to provoke Michion into a confrontation.
Hearing Aston’s taunts, Michion’s eyes turned cold.
Michion had no love for slavers; his original body had died as a result of being captured and enslaved, and he had inherited those memories. Naturally, he had no sympathy for slave traders.
Aston kept taunting while his muscular arms gleamed with dark energy, the bulging veins hinting at the power behind his punches.
Watching Aston’s approaching fist, Michion snorted coldly, “If you’re so eager to die, I’ll oblige.”
Despite his anger, Michion remained calm.
As a surgeon, staying calm was a prerequisite, no matter the situation.
This calmness was also the key to activating Observation Haki.
Facing Aston’s raging fist, Michion didn’t retreat but advanced, dodging to the right and avoiding the blow.
Immediately, Michion’s prepared arms struck like machine guns, landing several punches on Aston before he could react.
Before the huge Aston could recover, Michion’s hands pressed against the ground, and his legs shot upwards, kicking Aston’s jaw from below.
“Useless, useless, useless!! Your hits are nothing but tickles!!” Aston staggered but quickly regained his footing.
Michion noticed that, despite his apparent frustration, Aston’s eyes remained calm, his taunts intended to provoke Michion.
Realizing Aston’s plan, Michion deduced that he wanted him to stop evading and attack more frequently. This would tire Michion out, leading to a mistake—a perfect opportunity for Aston to counterattack.
“If I catch you, I’ll smash you to pieces!” Aston thought viciously as he continued his attempts to grab Michion, not knowing his intentions had been seen through.
Aston believed that once he caught Michion, the boy’s fragile body wouldn’t withstand his full power.
