Faced with the dense, piercing attacks from the “Killer Crab,” everyone utilized the Paper Art technique to dodge.
The crab’s thrusting attacks were as fast as bullets and had incredibly strong penetration. The numerous craters around them evidenced the immense destructive force of the crab’s strikes.
For a while, they could only continually evade the lunging limbs.
The most dangerous part was the two front pincers. Those powerful claws could instantly cut them in half if caught. Unlike the other limbs that could only stab, these giant claws were very agile, making the crab’s attack patterns even more unpredictable and difficult to counter.
“Alright, that’s enough. Come back. You’ve had enough training. Now you understand your strength,” Michion called out, a blue halo of light emanating from his body and enveloping the group.
As soon as the blue aura surrounded Tina and the others, their speed increased significantly, and they quickly escaped the crab’s attacks.
“We can’t even beat a giant crab,” Sora said dejectedly. The expressions on Tina and the others could have been more cheerful.
Seeing that he had achieved his desired result, Michion mentally gave the “Killer Crab” a thumbs up.
Their strength far surpassed that of their peers and the regular soldiers on the ship. From defeating experimental dinosaurs on a deserted island to easily overpowering sand pirates, they had grown somewhat overconfident in their abilities.
The recent crackdown by the Marines, led by Aokiji, meant that any powerful pirates in the North Blue had been dealt with, leaving only weak ones. This had led them to underestimate their opponents.
But Michion knew this was temporary. This training was similar to the previous war, a relatively safe environment created by the Marines where the enemies’ strength had been filtered.
If they didn’t adjust their mindset and accurately assess their abilities, they would suffer great losses in the future.
“Don’t be disheartened. Realizing your current strength is a gain in itself. There are countless pirates stronger than this creature, but fortunately, we still have plenty of time, don’t we?” Michion consoled them.
Giving them a setback was necessary, but so was encouragement. Otherwise, it would damage their confidence.
“Yes, I’ll train hard when we get back,” Sora said firmly, nodding. Then she looked at Michion with a pitiful expression, “But I really want to eat it…”
Seeing Sora like this, even the recently discouraged Tina and the others couldn’t help but laugh. But seeing them recover their spirits was a good sign.
“You want to eat it?” Michion looked at the fierce giant crab in front of them, its jagged shell and enormous claws making it look extremely menacing.
“Yes, I want to eat it!” Sora nodded vigorously. Tina and the others also looked expectantly at Michion, knowing he was about to make a move.
Admiral Chel whistled on a nearby rock, hearing Michion’s words, clearly interested in what Michion would do.
“Ark said this group was led by Michion. The support ability just now was impressive, but that’s not enough on its own. I wonder how strong he really is?”
Admiral Chel watched Michion approach the “Killer Crab” with great interest but remained alert, ready to intervene if necessary.
As the aura representing his support ability surrounded Michion, his strength, speed, and endurance increased significantly, yet he showed no discomfort.
The Physical Enhancement aura was unique in that, unlike most Devil Fruits that consumed stamina, it increased physical strength but drained mental energy instead.
The crowd watched in astonishment as the crab’s massive claws and stone-like limbs lunged at Michion. Michion seemed to be strolling casually, dodging every attack by a hair’s breadth.
Despite their familiarity with the Observation, Haki, Tina, and the others still found it unbelievable to see Michion’s movements in this intense situation.
“Has he awakened Observation Haki? But Ark didn’t mention it,” Chel murmured, watching Michion effortlessly avoid the crab’s attacks.
“But just dodging isn’t enough. What will you do next?” Chel, reassured by Michion’s Haki, was more curious about his offensive capabilities.
Michion was good. After dodging the fierce attacks, he, surrounded by various auras, swiftly closed in on the crab. With a powerful leap, he landed in front of the “Killer Crab.”
Before the crab could react, Michion’s right arm, enveloped in a translucent glow, formed a massive fist. With a thunderous roar, he smashed it onto the crab’s head.
“Boom!”
The impact was immense, causing the crab to collapse and crushing the surrounding rocks with a loud crash.
Even from a distance, Tina and the others could feel the ground shake slightly.
They stood there, stunned by what they had just witnessed; even Chel was surprised by the sheer force of the scene.
“Whoa, are you kidding me? One punch?” someone exclaimed.
As the dust settled, they saw a massive dent in the crab’s head, the unmistakable mark of Michion’s fist. Tina and her group stared in disbelief at Michion standing atop the giant crab.
Looking at the giant fist print and the dead “Killer Crab,” Chel knew one thing for sure.
The world had gained another monster.
