He learned that there were influential individuals capable of destroying entire islands.
It was like a frog at the bottom of a well finally jumping out to see the vast sky. Enel realized how small his previous world was.
If he didn’t seize this opportunity, he might never get a chance to see the grand and magnificent world. As Michion had said, if he encountered a strong person who accidentally arrived at Sky Island, his life would be in their hands. Enel didn’t want that.
Yet, he hesitated, saying, “But, I don’t have wings… and I’m so weak…”
Michion initially thought Enel might be talking about going to the Endless Vearth, making him a bit nervous. But hearing Enel’s words, Michion was taken aback for a moment.
“Sorry…” Enel felt a bit dejected seeing Michion’s dazed expression, thinking he had said something wrong.
“Hahaha, Enel, you’re hilarious,” Michion laughed loudly, snapping out of his daze.
Seeing Enel’s confused look, Michion grinned and said, “Blue Sea people don’t have wings either. What’s so strange about you not having wings? As for strength, you just need to train hard!”
Still in a daze, Enel listened as Michion continued thoughtfully, “I told you before the Sky Island is just a tiny part of the world. The size of Bilca doesn’t even compare to my country’s capital. There are over a hundred countries in the world, and everyone in the Blue Sea doesn’t have wings.”
“You mean, people in the Blue Sea don’t have wings?” This revelation hit Enel harder than anything Michion had said before.
This news struck Enel more profoundly than learning about the world’s vastness. He stood there, stunned, repeating the words.
To Michion, this was common knowledge, but for Enel, who had suffered all his life for not having wings, it was a thunderbolt.
Michion realized the impact of this information on Enel. Due to the darkness, Enel might have thought Michion’s wings were hidden under his cloak.
Indeed, from the moment Enel gained awareness, he had been ostracized for not having wings.
Over time, the humiliation grew, and his lack of wings became a significant emotional scar.
Suddenly, someone told him that wings were an anomaly and that more people were without wings than with. This was a massive shift in his worldview.

“I’m not a monster! I’m not a monster!” Enel choked out between sobs.
“Seems like the arrogant ‘god’ from the past wasn’t always so detestable,” Michion mused, watching Enel cry.
In Michion’s mind, Enel had always been the arrogant figure from the anime. But now, he saw the pain behind that arrogance.
“Despicable people often have pitiful aspects,” Michion thought, recalling a saying.
For Enel, what was the cause of his misery? Merely lacking wings led to his suffering, loneliness, and humiliation. Perhaps gaining power in such a situation drove him to destroy Bilca without hesitation.
After a while, Enel calmed down and looked at Michion, saying, “Brother Michion, I am willing to go to the Blue Sea with you, but can we first retrieve a box I hid earlier? They found it when they broke into my house, and I think it might be a relic from my parents. I fought to get it back and hid it in a tree hollow to keep it safe.”
“Of course, let’s go get it now,” Michion nodded.
Michion guessed that the box might contain the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
Looking at Enel’s innocent eyes, Michion felt a bit uneasy. This didn’t resemble the “God Enel” from his previous life.
After walking through the forest for awhile, Enel climbed a tree and retrieved a box from a hollow.
Holding the box, Enel eagerly opened it to see what was inside.
Inside, they found a blue, patterned fruit.
“Is this… Did my parents leave this fruit for me? It looks like it’s poisonous…” Enel hesitated, staring at the fruit.
“This is a Devil Fruit,” Michion said, his expression shifting slightly.
While the fruit had once been Michion’s ideal Devil Fruit, he had chosen to gamble on finding it in the Sky Island, knowing the timing was uncertain.
Fortunately, his gamble paid off. The “Devouring Fruit” he ate had potential comparable to a Logia-type and lacked weaknesses, making the Rumble-Rumble Fruit unnecessary.
Michion didn’t want to risk trying to eat another Devil Fruit, unsure if the one he had already consumed counted as a “Devil Fruit.”
But that didn’t mean the fruit wasn’t valuable to Michion.
Looking at Enel, Michion decided to let him have the fruit.
It was easy to choose between keeping the Rumble-Rumble Fruit or giving it to a trustworthy companion.
“Enel, this fruit is yours,” Michion said. “With it, you can become stronger and realize your dreams.”
Enel looked at the fruit, then at Michion, and nodded. He took a deep breath, ready to accept his new fate.
