In the dead of night.
A novel destined to become famous worldwide was slowly being created.
“Hmm, not bad, not bad. I’ve already written five chapters.”
Each chapter had four thousand words. Hals, having read a bit of overbearing CEO novels in his boredom before, had a general idea of how to write one.
The female lead needed to be kind and saintly, like a white lotus.
The male lead needed to be powerful and domineering.
He had to be rich, resourceful, well-connected, and have a large harem.
Despite having many flirtatious women around him, the male lead only cherished the female lead.
It was best to add a few competitors for the male lead.
Hals thought the scissors fruit user, Iva, would be perfect.
After some thought, he added Bartholomew Kuma as well.
As for the pen name.
Hals thought “I Am Not Kaido” would be fun.
That name would stir things up.
Someone might pick a fight with Kaido.
But on second thought, that blockhead Kaido wouldn’t have the literary skills to write a book.
So, Hals changed the pen name to “I Am Not Mihawk.”
Joyful.
Because of the pen name, it was easy to become a target. He needed enough strength not to be killed instantly and couldn’t interfere with the girls.
If he had written about Doflamingo, he wouldn’t have been able to pursue Rebecca or other girls.
Doflamingo’s territory had plenty of pretty girls, and he was just a Shichibukai.
Plus, Crocodile used to fight evenly with the inheritor of the ghostly blade.
Although he was defeated by Whitebeard.
If Crocodile suddenly started training, became strong enough, and fought Doflamingo, what if he killed the flamingo?
Awkward.
As for that corpse-manipulating bastard, Hals had considered him too.
But despite fighting Kaido and surviving, albeit losing most of his subordinates, he was still too weak now.
Doflamingo could crush him.
And there was Perona.
As for the Empress, she was out of consideration.
Jinbei was strong, but Hals didn’t want to bully him.
He had Shirahoshi.
Bartholomew Kuma was just ignored.
He already appeared in the novel.
Hals planned to provoke all three characters.
Kuma would be excluded.
As for angering Iva, he’d just drop the book between the fifth and sixth levels of Impel Down.
So, Mihawk was fitting.
And so it was.
A few days later, Hals had written over 200,000 words and asked his grandfather to find a publisher.
Grandpa was either visiting his grandsons, seeing Hals, or annoying Sengoku.
He was very free.
Aokiji was nowhere to be found, Kizaru was too sleazy to deal with.
Akainu would just scold him.
Sengoku wasn’t suitable for this job, Zephyr was his busy teacher training him and the elite camp.
So, Grandpa was perfect.
The next day.
“Alright, Hals, I’ll get this done for you.”
Grandpa assured Hals, curious about what he had written.
“Grandpa, these drafts are very important. I think the World Economic News Agency would be perfect.”
“I’m confident in my novel. Morgans should take a look.”
The albatross, though actually a human who ate a Devil Fruit.
“Alright, Hals, leave it to me.”
As one of the Underworld’s Six Kings, Hals thought Morgans should help him.
Grandpa left Marineford to find the albatross, one of the Six Kings.
Hals’s daily routine was breakfast, training, meditation, meals, more meditation, more meals, and writing his novel.
Hals was prolific, never experiencing writer’s block.
A few days later.
The newspaper seagull sold something new.
A novel.
The title was “The Overbearing Okama King Falls in Love with Me.”
The cover featured Iva and Crocodile, with Iva looking much more handsome thanks to some Photoshop work and Crocodile being cornered with a shy expression.
Each chapter had some illustrations.
The images were R15, slightly suggestive but appropriate, revealing nothing explicit.
It starts with a female version of Crocodile and a male version of Iva, then shows Iva changing Crocodile’s gender with his powers.
It turned into a male-on-male scene.
Then Crocodile reverted to male, and Iva became female.
Bartholomew Kuma appeared, making it a love triangle with Crocodile as the female.
Then it was three males, with Crocodile as a male.
Finally, two people fought over Crocodile who couldn’t choose between them.
…
Indescribable.
Of course, this was for later. Now, it was serialized in the newspaper.
Eventually, it would be released as a book with colored illustrations.
Garp returned to Marineford.
“Hals, I can’t believe you wrote this.”
Hals was still engrossed in his book.
The plot was quite explicit and not suitable for children.
Also, Hals’s name didn’t appear; the pen name was “I Am Not Mihawk.”
So no one would fight him over it.
Happy.
Morgans wanted to discuss the plot and was pushing for more chapters.
Probably because the book’s unique theme made it a classic in novels.
“Negative emotions from Crocodile +30000”
“Negative emotions from Crocodile +30000”
“Negative emotions from Crocodile +30000”
“Negative emotions from Crocodile +30000”
“Negative emotions from Crocodile +30000”
Hals kept harvesting negative emotions, as happy as Luffy.
But…
Crocodile was a bit weak.
Even in his angriest state, he only gave 30,000 negative emotions.
Trash.
Zephyr-sensei, even when just speechless, gave 20,000 negative emotions. Crocodile…
You’re not just trash; you’re hazardous and wet trash.
No, with the Suna Suna no Mi, he wasn’t wet at all.
Still, it was better than what Ain and the others gave.
“Grandpa, any issues?”
Hals looked innocent, and Grandpa didn’t know what to say.
“Sigh.”
Grandpa covered his face and left.
But it hadn’t reached the Shichibukai era yet, so sales in Alabasta were still good.
If Crocodile were there, he might have banned it. As Alabasta’s hero, he had that power.
Hals continued training, attending classes, and writing his novel.
However, writing time was now significantly shorter.
