True to being the protagonist, he managed to attain a C-level strength even training in a place like Windmill Village.
“Hehehe!” Luffy chuckled, scratching his head, then asked, “Rokujins bro, when do you plan to leave?”
“In a few days. If I don’t return soon, Grandpa will come after me.”
“Hahaha, I didn’t think you’d be afraid of Grandpa’s fists!”
“Aren’t you scared? Or should I hit you a couple of times to see if you’re afraid of my fists?”
“Sure, hit me!” Rokujins didn’t hold back and covered his fists with Armament Haki, striking Luffy’s head.
“Bang! Bang!” Immediately, two bumps arose on Luffy’s head, and he scampered around in pain like a monkey.
“Ah! It hurts! Rokujins bro, why does your fist hurt so much too!”
“You’ll understand eventually! Haha!”
“Forget it. I won’t tell you, but my fists are powerful now, too!”
“Hehe!” Rokujins laughed but didn’t speak further.
After spending a few days in Windmill Village, Rokujins left Olvia and returned to the Navy headquarters alone. Being Luffy’s residence, Windmill Village was sure to be safe at least until Luffy left. Olvia would be safe there. Bringing her back to the Navy would be far riskier, with constant worry about being discovered. Moreover, the system triggered a new task for him to complete alone, which was more dangerous and unsuitable for bringing Olvia.
[Ding, congratulations host on tr,igger, ing a new mission: Obtain the Rumble-Rumble Fruit and the historical text of Skypiea. Rewards: 2 energy points, +2 to Devil Fruit proficiency skill level!]
The Rumble-Rumble Fruit was in Skypiea, and he would need to find a way to get there. Fortunately, according to the original storyline, Garp had given him a record that should lead to Skypiea. He just hoped Enel hadn’t already consumed the fruit, as defeating Enel would be quite challenging.
…One month later, North Blue, Jaya Island.
“Here’s one million Berries. Remodel the ship for me, add two slideable wings on the sides for gliding, and replenish supplies. The rest of the money is yours,” Rokujins handed over a million Berries to a pirate in front of him, instructing him.
The pirate’s eyes lit up, and he nodded eagerly, “Okay, okay!”
He was Anthony Bisil, formerly of the Krieg Pirates. Now, he was essentially Rokujins’s captive. More accurately, he was one of his workers. From East Blue to North Blue, they relied on the Krieg Pirates’ ship. Without it, Rokujins couldn’t have safely reached North Blue or even attempted to travel to Skypiea.
Then, Rokujins went to stroll through the town on the island while waiting for Bisil and his crew to finish the ship modifications. Walking down the town streets, he suddenly spotted a few familiar figures.
“The Saruyama Alliance, follow me!” A muscular Monkey, leading the others towards the seashore, called out.
“It’s him! Monkey!” Rokujins recognized him immediately. It seemed his name was Monkey, and since he looked like a monkey, he was always pleased when someone acknowledged his monkey-like features.
Walking up, Luchens greeted themd, “Monkey friend, hello!”
“Ah! Do you think I look like a monkey?” Monkey, touching his chin, appeared delighted and even a bit shy.
“Yes, you absolutely look like one!” Rokujins affirmed earnestly.
“HAHAHA!” Pleased by the response, Monkey treated Rokujins as if he was a brother: “Brother, just say the word. If they’re on this island, there’s nothing the Saruyama Alliance doesn’t know!”
“I’m looking for the descendant of Montblanc Norland!” Rokujins said.
“Oh! You’re looking for my boss, huh…” Monkey started, then realized something was amiss, his eyes wide with astonishment, “What do you want with him?”
“Don’t worry, I’m not here for the gold, but to reach Skypiea!” Rokujins explained.
Despite the explanation, Monkey remained skeptical, “Hmm…”
“Monkey, you just said you’d help me. You wouldn’t go back on your word, would you? I’ve heard that if a monkey goes back on their word or lies, they turn into a monkey!” Rokujins warned seriously.
Frightened by this, Monkey
quickly promised, “Okay, I’ll take you to meet my boss, but you have to promise it’s not for the gold!”
“Deal, lead the way!” Rokujins confirmed. Finding Skypiea alone would be troublesome, and he needed an expert, who in this case was Monkey’s boss, Montblanc Crick.
Half an hour later, Monkey led Rokujins to a small house by the seaside, pointing out a man sorting through shipwreck debris, “That’s our boss. You go talk to him.”
“Thanks a lot!” Rokujins approached the man who was organizing the remains of a shipwreck.
A man, shirtless and with a chestnut on his head, was indeed Mont Blanc Kurike, the captain of the Orangutan Pirate Crew. He was rated C+ and possessed martial arts and shipwrighting skills, with a bounty of 10 million Berry. Kurike was busy sorting through shipwreck debris, unaware of another man approaching him from behind.
“Hey, mister, I want to go to Sky Island!” The man spoke up, causing Kurike to turn around. Examining the young man, Kurike frowned and asked, “Do you believe in the legend of Sky Island? And who are you? Why are you seeking me?”
“Sky Island is not a legend; it truly exists!” The man, named Rokujin, replied with a smile, his demeanor calm. Hearing this, Kurike was reassured, “Indeed, Sky Island exists. Since you want to go there, let me tell you about it!”
He began to describe phenomena related to Sky Island. “In nearby seas, a type of cloud called ‘Cumulus Impedor’ often forms high in the sky. No matter how thick these clouds accumulate, they don’t produce air currents or rain.”
“Moreover, these thick clouds block all sunlight, often turning ‘day’ into ‘night.'” “It’s estimated to be about 7000 meters high! To reach Sky Island, one must utilize the unpredictable and dangerous sea currents that shoot upwards into Cumulus Impedor. Until now, I haven’t found a way to enter!”
