On the other side, Rokujin was dashing through the forest at top speed, eager to see the City of Gold! Suddenly, he heard the sound of an argument ahead. “You wingless bastard, you don’t deserve to live on our Sky Island!” “Go back to the Blue Sea!” “Get lost!”
Looking up, Rokujin saw a group of Sky Islanders bullying a man without wings. From what they were saying, he must be a half-Blue Sea, half-Sky Islander. Suddenly, Rokujin’s eyes widened in recognition. “It’s him! Enel!” Those iconic long earlobes and small eyes—it had to be Enel! [Character: Enel] [Position: None] [Level: G] [Skills: Taking Hits (G)] [Bounty: None] No Devil Fruit ability? That means he hasn’t eaten the fruit yet! Seeing Enel’s attributes, Rokujin charged towards him without hesitation. Drawing his black-bladed sword, he unleashed a powerful sword slash. The sword light flashed! The Sky Islanders bullying Enel didn’t even have time to react before their bodies were sliced into six pieces, falling to the ground.
“Splurt!” Blood sprayed from the cuts, splashing onto Enel’s face. “Dead?” But Enel showed no fear, instead a smile appeared on his lips. “You don’t seem afraid at all!” Rokujin remarked coldly from behind Enel. “Who?” Startled by the voice, Enel jumped up, squinting at Rokujin. “Who are you? I’ve never seen you before!” He hadn’t realized when someone had gotten behind him! Glancing at the sword in Rokujin’s hand, Enel didn’t say much but understood that Rokujin killed the three Sky Islanders. “Don’t worry about who I am, I’m just passing by. You’re free to do as you please!” Rokujin said with a smile. He couldn’t kill Enel, as he needed him to find the Thunder Fruit. As long as Enel was around, he would definitely encounter the Thunder Fruit. Then Rokujin could simply take it from him! After speaking, Rokujin turned to leave, planning to follow Enel once he moved on.
“Hmm…” Enel stared at Rokujin’s back, pondering for a long time before suddenly saying, “Hey! Blue Sea person, you’re going to Shandora to find treasure, right?” “Why should I tell you?” Rokujin chuckled, continuing forward. It wasn’t hard to guess he was here for the City of Gold! However, Enel’s question seemed to imply something else. Seeing Rokujin about to leave, Enel said, “I can take you to Shandora, but you have to take me along and share some of the gold with me!” “Alright!” Rokujin thought for a moment and agreed. “Okay, follow me. This way, we can avoid the priests’ patrols. Without me guiding you, you’d never get in.” Enel reminded him. “Hmm!” Rokujin nodded in response. This matter wouldn’t be that simple; if Enel wanted gold, he would have gone already. Why bring him along now? Either he guessed Rokujin’s intention or had his plan, which likely involved the Thunder Fruit. So, Rokujin had to agree!
Enel led the way through winding paths like a taxi driver deliberately taking detours. However, they didn’t encounter a single priest on the way. It was a safe journey! About half an hour later, a massive golden city appeared ahead. Although plants covered the buildings, the gold still shone brightly. At the highest point stood a large golden bell! Real gold, genuine gold! Rokujin had never seen so much gold; his eyes were fixed on it. Even the ground was paved with golden bricks.
“This is Shandora. Take as much gold as you want. I don’t need much,” Enel said. “How much can you take?” Rokujin’s eyes were glued to the gold, but he kept an eye on Enel. As Enel stepped forward and picked up a piece of gold, he suddenly started tapping on another larger piece as if trying to break off a bigger chunk of gold! “Ding! Ding! Ding…” The crisp sounds echoed through the golden city.
Suddenly, a strange roar rang out. “Roar!” The ground and surrounding buildings trembled like a colossal beast was about to break free. A massive snake appeared behind the golden city, coiling around the golden bell. It had blue skin, a thick body, and was at least fifty meters long. It was the Sky Lord of Shandora! “Hiss!” The Sky Lord opened its mouth, revealing sharp fangs, hissing at Rokujin and Enel before lunging at Enel. However, Enel showed no fear, instead charging towards it.
“Big ears, did you intentionally lure out the Sky Lord? Do you want to end up in its stomach?” Rokujin chuckled softly, observing Enel’s actions and expressions closely.
“Rokushiki: Soru!” Suddenly, Rokujin kicked off the ground and vanished, reappearing next to Enel in the blink of an eye. He pushed Enel aside with a palm strike, warning him, “Watch out!”
“You…” Enel was stunned, not expecting Rokujin to save him. They were practically strangers! In his moment of shock, Rokujin was swallowed by the Sky Lord, along with numerous trees and golden bricks, sliding down its oesophagus!
Seeing this, Rokujin quickly drew the two long swords at his waist, Maple Leaf and Black Blade, and thrust them into the Sky Lord’s oesophagus. The swords carved two long wounds in the Sky Lord’s flesh, blood oozing from the cuts.
Meanwhile, outside, the Sky Lord cried out in agony, writhing and rolling in pain, fleeing towards the depths of the forest. On the ground, a man chased after the Sky Lord, shouting, “Stop! Stop! That treasure was supposed to be mine!” It was none other than Enel. He had discovered a treasure map leading to a pirate’s hoard containing a powerful Devil Fruit by chance. He aimed to obtain that fruit and kill those who had insulted and oppressed him! Now, it was slipping away before his eyes, and he was furious.
Moments later, inside the Sky Lord’s stomach. “Finally here?” Rokujin looked around, realising he had reached a flat area, which must be the Sky Lord’s stomach. He began searching for the Thunder Fruit. Enel must have wanted to be swallowed to find something inside the Sky Lord, probably the Thunder Fruit!
