The lightning struck both Buggy and Luffy.
“Ah!” But only Buggy’s screams of pain echoed from the white lightning, his skeleton visible for a brief moment.
“Boom!” With a loud crash, the entire execution platform collapsed into rubble, with black smoke billowing from it. Suddenly, a figure stood up from the smoke.
“I’m not dead, hahaha!” Luffy grinned. Thanks to his rubber body, the lightning had no effect on him.
“That kid… he needs to get out of here!” Rokujin smiled slightly, whispering to himself. As for Buggy, he lay charred in the rubble.
“Captain!”
“Captain, are you okay?” A few crew members rushed to help Buggy up.
“Cough cough!” Buggy coughed violently, black smoke pouring from his mouth as he yelled, “Straw Hat, don’t run!”
“Hahaha, you can’t kill me!” Luffy laughed foolishly.
Suddenly, a group of Marines rushed into the square, led by a familiar face, Captain Smoker.
“Buggy the Clown, Monkey D. Luffy. I didn’t expect to see you both here.”
“Get them!” Smoker ordered.
“Yes, Captain!” The Marines charged towards the pirates. These Marines from Headquarters were stronger than the average, forcing Buggy’s crew to retreat.
Alvida and Buggy decided to make a run for it while Luffy, using his rubber body, catapulted out of the square.
“Smoker… this is going to be troublesome!” Rokujin frowned, glancing at Smoker before chasing after Luffy. He needed to ensure Luffy and his crew escaped safely to complete his mission.
But shortly after he started, he sensed a cold breeze behind him. Rokujin stopped and looked back at the empty passageway. “Come out, there’s no need to hide!” he called.
“Why did you attack Luffy?” A man in a green coat, half his face covered in tattoos, stepped out.
“Monkey D. Dragon!” Rokujin said, frowning.

Dragon asked curiously, “How do you know my name? Who are you?”
On the execution platform, he had seen the black-cloaked figure attack Luffy. Now, following Luffy, he assumed the man intended to harm him.
“You don’t need to know who I am. Just know that I mean no harm to Luffy,” Rokujin said, shaking his head. He didn’t want to reveal his identity to Dragon just yet. Although Dragon was a revolutionary, the original story provided little information about him, making his character enigmatic.
“Hmph!” Dragon snorted, clearly not believing Rokujin. He raised his right hand, and a small hurricane began to form, growing larger with a powerful suction force, pulling everything on the ground towards it.
“You’re serious!” Rokujin muttered, his brow furrowed. He wasn’t sure if he could match Dragon’s strength.
“Hurricane Tornado!” Dragon lifted his hand, sending the powerful tornado toward Rokujin.
“Armament Haki: Hardening!” Seeing this, Rokujin didn’t hold back. His hands were covered in Armament Haki. His right hand pulled back, and crimson Haki gathered, moving with his hand. Suddenly, he thrust his palm forward, causing a sonic boom.
“Mountain Crushing Palm!” A massive palm-shaped force shot towards the tornado.
“Boom!” The two forces collided, unleashing a powerful energy wave that swept through the surroundings, toppling walls and turning the area into rubble. The tornado dissipated, but the Mountain Crushing Palm also lost its power. The strong energy forced both Rokujin and Dragon to step back. However, Rokujin stepped back dozens of times, while Dragon only retreated three steps before stabilizing.
“You’re strong. Are you a bounty hunter? No, the East Blue doesn’t have bounty hunters this powerful!” Dragon said, eyeing Rokujin with interest. He had never heard of a bounty hunter with such formidable skills in the East Blue.
“Stop guessing who I am. Someone’s coming!” Rokujin warned. Wearing the black cloak, he was Black Night, usually avoiding the use of his sword skills and relying on his Rumble-Rumble Fruit abilities.
As he spoke, Smoker and his men arrived, “Hey! Who are you two? Arrest them!”
“Yes, sir!” The Marines charged forward. Hearing the commotion, Smoker had brought reinforcements.
“Until we meet again!” Dragon looked at Rokujin, and then a hurricane formed under his feet, lifting him into the air and disappearing into the clouds.
“Don’t run!” Smoker yelled, trying to chase after him, but Dragon was too fast, vanishing in an instant. Left with no choice, Smoker turned to the cloaked figure in front of him and shouted, “You’re not going anywhere!”
As he watched Dragon disappear into the distance, Rokujin shook his head in frustration, ‘So you ran off and left me here to deal with the Navy?’
Seeing the Marines charging towards him, Rokujin raised his right hand, now fully enveloped in lightning. A wicked smile played on his lips, “Electro Shock: One Million Volts!”
Instantly, his right hand released a massive burst of electricity, which spread rapidly across the damp ground towards the Marines.
“Crackle!” The lightning hit all the Marines, leaving them paralyzed and charred, collapsing to the ground. Only Smoker managed to evade the attack by turning it into smoke using his Devil Fruit ability. When he reverted to his solid form, the black-cloaked figure had already vanished!
“Damn it!” Smoker yelled in anger, furiously throwing his cigar to the ground.

Meanwhile, at the Loguetown dock.
Rokujin hid in the shadows, watching Luffy and his crew gradually sail away. He muttered to himself, “If it weren’t for completing the system mission, I wouldn’t have bothered coming!”
As soon as he spoke, the system’s notification sounded.
