As the main adversary appeared, Eust had to carefully deal with the bald giant. While the giant’s speed might be lacking, his strength was indeed terrifying. If struck by his spiked club, Eust would either be severely injured or worse.
The bald giant slowly approached Eust and said, “I, Malfoy, have never suffered a loss. You dared to sucker-punch me, and now you’ll pay with your life.”
After speaking, Malfoy was ready to attack, but Eust interjected.
“Hold on, Malfoy. I have something to say too.”
“I, Eust, am not someone who takes a hit without a word. You damaged our supplies and tried to kill me. Have you thought about what price you’ll pay?”
“Price? Ridiculous. In this sea, without strength, where is the reason? Do you think you’ve eaten the Reason Fruit? In the end, it’s all about power…”
Before Malfoy finished, he launched another sneak attack on Eust. Truly a treacherous man, Eust shouldn’t have tried to reason with him. His oratory skills were limited, and Malfoy wasn’t someone who could be easily persuaded.
“If you won’t repent, then face your demise.”
Eust thought about how to deal with Malfoy as they fought. His subordinates kept their distance, likely afraid of getting hurt.
Just now, Malfoy’s spiked club had made a hole in the deck. Eust planned to strike back hard, but Malfoy’s weapon had hidden mechanisms. Three cold flashes suddenly aimed at Eust.
Eust had to halt his attack and dodge quickly and abruptly. Although he avoided the concealed weapons, the sudden movements caused some strain, leaving him at a disadvantage.
Eust was understandably furious, having been tricked twice by Malfoy. Considering the damage to his boat, he wanted to cut Malfoy down immediately.
But knowing Malfoy’s cunning, Eust needed to be more cautious to avoid a tragic mistake. Many famous individuals had fallen to treacherous foes; Eust didn’t want the same fate.
Having evaded the hidden weapons, Eust couldn’t afford to adjust. Malfoy, unlike his subordinates, would seize any opportunity to attack.
Sure enough, seeing the disruption, Malfoy immediately swung his spiked club at Eust.
Eust used his superior speed to dodge while remaining vigilant for unexpected attacks.
Malfoy’s club could still shoot hidden weapons, but Eust was prepared this time, making them less dangerous than before.
After the club discharged its concealed weapons, Malfoy seemed out of tricks and was quickly suppressed by Eust. Despite Malfoy’s efforts to dodge, Eust managed to land several blows.
As Eust thought he had the upper hand, Malfoy revealed a new trick. His heavy club transformed into a short stick.
Wielding the short stick with great force, Malfoy’s strikes were still formidable.
The short stick made Malfoy’s movements more agile, allowing him to block several of Eust’s attacks.
But Eust wasn’t easily bested. Through their exchanges, he had gauged Malfoy’s tactics. Malfoy’s ability to parry with the short stick was part of Eust’s plan.
Suddenly, Eust accelerated his attacks, and Malfoy couldn’t keep up, suffering his most severe injuries yet.
Just as Eust planned to press his advantage, Malfoy turned to flee, dragging one of his subordinates to cover his escape.
Malfoy was decisive. When the situation turned against him, he attempted to flee, shamelessly using his underling as a shield.
Malfoy’s cunning and ruthlessness showed his potential as a formidable pirate.
But Eust wasn’t about to let him escape. Dispatching the confused henchman, Eust pursued Malfoy.
The hapless henchman was bewildered by his leader’s defeat and worried about his fate, only to be sacrificed by Malfoy as a shield.
Eust didn’t slow down, continuing his chase. Malfoy, desperately throwing his short stick, couldn’t shake Eust off.
As Eust closed in, Malfoy suddenly turned, prompting Eust to dodge, wary of another trick.
Malfoy indeed fired a shot at Eust, but cautious Eust dodged it. Now, he was within striking distance.
Malfoy dropped to his knees, seemingly begging for mercy, but Eust showed no leniency, finishing him with a swift cut.
Malfoy’s hand released an item, which Eust discovered to be a hidden weapon launcher.
Eust breathed a sigh of relief, knowing he had narrowly avoided a deadly trick.
Malfoy, though skilled and cunning, had clear weaknesses. In just a few minutes, he had attempted numerous underhanded tactics.
While trickery alone might not make one the strongest, it could still claim many lives.
Eust quickly handled the aftermath, knowing villagers might investigate the gunshot.
Eust swiftly tidied up and left the dock without relying on villagers staying away.
The remaining three subordinates were easy to deal with. They tried to take Lyra and the boat hostage but underestimated Sunny, who easily thwarted them in her relaxed form.
When Eust arrived, Sunny was unharmed, while the three were injured and easily dealt with.
Eust then had Lyra steer their original boat while he took Malfoy’s boat, and they departed from the scene.
