One Piece Quest Fruit Chapter 63

Is East’s Ultimate Move Lame?

“Don’t talk to strangers because it’s dangerous,” Eust suddenly remembered this saying. Had he inadvertently provoked his opponent?

Faced with the Candy Man’s attack, Eust and his companions had no choice but to struggle fiercely.

The result was that Lilith was slowly being covered by candy, and the two people and one cat on the ship were also affected by the candy river.

Lila’s legs were covered, and the candy was climbing upwards; Eust managed to free his feet from the sticky candy and could barely stand; Sunny was in a slightly better situation and could move more freely.

Eust was very concerned about Lila’s safety. If she were completely covered by the Candy River, would she be able to breathe normally? Were there other dangers? The correct course of action was immediate rescue.

Eust struggled to get close to Lila and signaled Sunny to transform into combat mode to attack the Candy Man.

Sunny quickly transformed into combat mode, charged along the candy river toward the Candy Man, and tried to draw his attention to buy time for Eust.

Eust hurried to Lila’s side, intending to help her remove the candy. The Candy River felt like it had both solid and liquid properties, luckily without any explosive capability; otherwise, the scene would be too horrible to imagine.

Lila warned Eust to be careful of an attack from behind, but Eust’s movements were severely restricted by the Candy River. Unable to avoid the attack from behind, he was blown away by the explosion’s shockwave.

Eust gritted his teeth in pain, feeling like the hard candy had cut into his skin, some pieces even embedded into his muscles.

He tried to appear normal on the outside to avoid worrying Lila or letting the enemy feel triumphant, though his strained expression might have already betrayed him.

Eust realized that his opponent might not have been fighting seriously before, displaying a sadistic “cat-and-mouse” behavior, casually attacking the Lilith ship, and then using his superior speed to catch up to his target.

He suspected that the Candy Man had some psychological issues, or at lEust was a sadist, judging by his behavior.

Even Sunny’s transformation hadn’t completely distracted the opponent, who still managed to sneak attack Eust.

But when Sunny engaged the Candy Man, he had no time to attack Eust, giving Eust the opportunity to rescue Lila from the Candy River. However, they had no other safe place to stand, so Eust told Lila to jump into the sea.

Eust believed that the flowing Candy River shouldn’t spread in the sea.

Fortunately, his assumption was correct. The Candy Man’s candy ship could move quickly over the sea, but the flowing candy river needed a surface to cling to and couldn’t extend freely over the water. Thus, Lila was temporarily safe.

During the time Eust rescued Lila, Sunny and the Candy Man had exchanged several blows, evidenced by the sounds of explosions, indicating an intense battle.

Eust quickly went to assist Sunny. Luckily, Sunny wasn’t injured yet. The Candy Man’s attack methods were monotonous: candy-coated bomb attacks and the candy river to restrict movement.

The candy-coated bombs came in two forms, looking the same on the outside but differing in size.

The bombs that hit the Lilith ship were larger with poor accuracy.

The smaller bombs that injured Eust were less powerful but still caused significant damage.

Sunny, in his Flame Mode, was enduring a barrage of both bomb types while fighting on the Candy River, which restricted his movements.

Eust observed that while the Candy Man’s attacks were straightforward, his defense was strong. Even when Sunny’s attacks hit, they were blocked by the candy coating, putting Sunny at a disadvantage.

Unable to harm the opponent, and knowing Sunny’s transformation had a time limit, Eust decided to join the fight despite being unsure if his sword would be effective. He couldn’t just stand by and watch.

Seeing Eust approach, the Candy Man didn’t rush, keeping his focus on countering Sunny’s attacks.

This gave Eust an opportunity. To ensure he could harm the Candy Man, he used his newly learned modified Iai Slash.

However, Eust’s arm went numb, and his sword, Tora-Tiger, failed to injure the Candy Man. Damn, he had anticipated it, but it was still disheartening.

Eust felt depressed. Was his ultimate move really that weak? Did he really deserve to be called a captain?

In his frustration, Eust was hit by a bomb. The Candy Man had been waiting for this, confident in his defense and able to launch close-range attacks, hitting Eust accurately.

While ineffective against the nimble Sunny, the bombs were effective against Eust, who was blasted away again.

Now, how big is Eust’s mental shadow?

Coughing up blood, Eust quickly stood up, knowing the Candy Man would continue attacking.

His prediction was correct. The Candy Man did attack, but Eust dodged two bombs and ran away.

Was Eust a traitorous comrade?

Eust was bitter. His ultimate move couldn’t even scratch the candy-armored Candy Man. What was he doing there, waiting for more bombs?

He quickly retreated, leaving the fight to the more capable Sunny, not wanting to hinder Sunny’s performance.

Analyzing the situation, Eust realized the Candy Man’s bombs had low accuracy. Even the faster, smaller bombs hadn’t hit Sunny once.

After distancing himself, the Candy Man stopped attacking Eust, possibly indicating limitations in his abilities.

Perhaps the Candy Man hadn’t had his candy fruit powers for long, focusing on defense and mobility, thus lacking in attack skills.

Sunny, after testing with his attacks and Eust’s Iai Slash, decided to use his ultimate move.

“Why is it always me who has to use a desperate ultimate move? My recovery is amazing, but I hate pain, meow!”
