Today is the execution day of Pirate King Gol D. Roger!
Born in Loguetown in the East Blue, Gol D. Roger created an incredibly powerful pirate crew, completed the Grand Line voyage, and became known as the greatest pirate in history. The world calls him the “Pirate King” and will execute him in Loguetown!
No matter how people view him—whether as a heinous criminal or a heroic legend—Roger will end his glorious life in his hometown!
Today, countless reporters and media from around the world have flocked to Loguetown!
Today, every screen across the globe displays only one scene: the solemn execution platform in Loguetown!
What does it mean to be the center of attention? This is it!
On the live broadcast, the camera focused precisely on the execution platform, showing Roger, hands bound in shackles, being led by the executioners to kneel heavily on the platform.
His face was a bit haggard, and his hair and beard were somewhat dishevelled. However, even at this moment, kneeling on the execution platform, he maintained an upright posture, exuding an overwhelming presence!
There was not a trace of resignation or fear of death!
“This is a king worthy of everyone’s admiration.”
On Ohara Island, in the square of the eastern residential area, Evan and the surrounding people quietly watched the big screen.
He genuinely admired the man known as the “Pirate King” on the screen.
The off-screen narration was the world government’s announcement of Roger’s so-called “crimes,” entirely from the victor’s perspective.
Finally, the sentence was declared coldly!
Death penalty!
At that moment, Roger in the camera raised his head, and his eyes shone brilliantly!
“Want my treasure? If you want it, you can have it! Find it! I left it all at that place.”
With those words, the executioner’s dual swords crossed and pierced through his back. A hint of a smile appeared at the corner of Roger’s mouth as he lowered his head.
A hero of an era had fallen!
The people in front of the big screen stood frozen like statues, unmoving.
The whole world fell silent at that moment.
That incredibly shocking voice echoed like a thunderclap, impossible to erase.
Evan shook his head, turned, and quietly left, weaving through the crowd.
He knew very well that the world had undergone an earth-shattering change at that moment!
No one could resist the treasure left behind by the Pirate King, representing power, prestige, and wealth.
Roger’s last words before his death planted a seed of desire in everyone’s heart, giving everyone a reason to set sail!
For dreams, for desires in their hearts, countless people would embark on the journey to the sea!
This is the Great Pirate Era!!!
On the eastern coast of the island.
Among the rocky cliffs, a giant stone was slowly moving.
Upon closer inspection, Evan had taken off his shirt and was carrying a massive rock five times his size.
The terrifying weight nearly crushed his slender body. He gritted his teeth, taking one difficult step after another.
It was still far from enough! The time left for him was less than two short years, not much at all.
In the past few weeks, he had noticed more and more ships approaching the island’s eastern shore, with pirates occasionally in sight.
The chaotic era had arrived, and he still lacked the ability to protect himself, let alone others.
Under the scorching sun, his bare feet burned, and he sweated profusely, stepping on the rocky ground.
Evan’s body was covered in scars, big and small.
Inhuman fatigue and pain urged him to stop, but his indomitable will pushed him to continue.
Evan knew that to tap into the human body’s potential, he had to endure pain and loneliness.
Almost at the brink of losing consciousness, he reached his designated destination and set down the massive rock from his back.
The rock fell with a thundering sound, making the ground tremble slightly.
He sat against the rock, drenched in sweat. Despite being exhausted, both his body and mind felt incredibly light, filled with a sense of exhilaration. His body felt warm, seemingly even stronger.
This brought a bright smile to his face. The feeling of becoming stronger was truly wonderful.
“Right, today is Saturday. That little girl should be coming, too, right?”
Evan squinted up at the sun’s position, suddenly sensing something amiss.
“No, it’s already past noon. That girl always arrives before this time, without exception. Why today…”
Recalling the pirate ships seen near the shore a few days ago, Evan’s face changed instantly.
“Damn it! I should have told her earlier!”
Energy surged through his body as he sprinted into the forest.
Following the forest path, Evan moved swiftly, startling countless birds as he passed.
Seeing a clearing ahead, Evan stopped abruptly.
Many footprints were on the grass, which he recognized as recent, as he was familiar with the area.
The footprints were of different sizes, overlapping and chaotic, indistinguishable to the untrained eye. But with his rich experience in reconnaissance, Evan could tell at a glance.
“Two adult men, one adult woman, and one little girl…”
Evan’s eyes turned cold, burning with rage!
Daring to touch his people, seeking death!
He quickly tracked the footprints.
On the island’s southeastern coast, a pirate ship was docked at the shore. Pirates on the ship and the shore were busy transporting stolen goods to the ship.
Sitting on a barrel, the one-eyed pirate captain was a towering figure, three meters tall, playing with a long steel sword at his waist, his remaining eye gleaming fiercely.
Nearby pirates were busy counting the loot.
“Ten bolts of high-quality fabric, six barrels of oil…”
The pirate captain grinned, revealing yellow teeth. The loot on this island was beyond his expectations.
“Boss, the scholars on this island are really rich!” said a small pirate minion.
“Indeed. Unfortunately, staying here too long might attract the marine. Otherwise, I’d love to loot a few more rounds.” The pirate captain’s eyes gleamed with greed.
“The first mate hasn’t returned yet. There might be more loot coming!” another pirate minion suggested.
“Hmph, let’s hope so!” The pirate captain sneered, noticing three figures emerging from the forest, carrying something alive.
It was the first mate Augur, and his two assistants, and the captive was none other than Robin.
“Let me go!” Robin struggled in vain, her hands bound by ropes carried by Augur.
“Oh? Augur, you caught a little girl?” The pirate captain approached, scrutinizing Robin.
His one eye was filled with such fierce light that Robin, like a frightened rabbit, closed her eyes, trembling.
“Boss, this isn’t just any little girl. She’s a Devil Fruit user.” The burly man holding Robin boasted, “I found her on a forest path. Luckily, she doesn’t know how to use her power well; otherwise, she wouldn’t have been so easy to capture.”
“A Devil Fruit user? That’s extremely valuable!” The pirate captain’s tone was excited, elated, “Perfect to sell alongside our recent loot.”
“Boss, we’re going to be rich! This should be a great credit, right?”
“Of course, I knew this era was made for me.”
Suppressing his overwhelming excitement, the pirate captain ordered Robin to be secured on the ship.
Robin, being extremely intelligent, knew that being taken to the pirate ship would lead to a tragic fate.
“Please, let me go!” She pleaded desperately, tears streaming down her face.
“Hmph, if I let you go, will I get millions in wealth?” The pirate captain coldly replied, urging them to take her away.
“No…” Robin struggled desperately, tears flowing like pearls, only able to watch as she was dragged closer to the pirate ship.
“Let her go!”
A sudden voice, youthful yet cold, rang out!
The pirates’ eyes shot towards the forest.
Evan emerged from the shadows, stepping forward, still panting heavily, but his gaze and steps were as firm as his voice.
Fortunately, he made it in time.
“What did you say? Say it again?” The pirate captain smirked, and the surrounding pirates moved to encircle Evan.
“Let her go, and take me instead.”
Evan looked at the tearful Robin, his sharp eyes softening.
“Evan, run! What are you doing here?!” Robin stared at him, then screamed frantically.
“I won’t leave, I will save you,” Evan reiterated.
The pirate captain and the other pirates seemed to hear the most ridiculous joke, bursting into laughter.
“Hahaha, what is this kid saying? How can you save her with those tiny arms!”
“Young fool not afraid of tigers. Kid, still on milk? Do you know who we are? We’re pirates!”
“This is hilarious. The kid thinks he’s a hero saving a damsel in distress!”
Ignoring the pirates’ mockery, Evan stared directly at the towering pirate captain.
The pirate captain approached, his massive frame looming, his one eye fierce, “She’s a Devil Fruit user. What makes you think you can replace her?”
“These fists!” Evan calmly extended his clenched fists, his small hands covered in scars.
“How boring!” The pirate captain spat, losing interest, and turned towards the ship, “Deal with him. Augur, bring the Devil Fruit user aboard.”
Evan didn’t move, coldly watching the pirate captain and the burly man take Robin away.
His breathing gradually steadied, some of the energy expended from running restored.
“Little
guy, in your next life, don’t be so reckless.” One of the surrounding pirates sneered, pulling out a pistol and aiming it at Evan.
In his mind, he saw a scene of pulling the trigger, the bullet flying out, and a bloody hole in the kid’s head.
Evan sighed softly. He had to admit this body naturally had the aura of a hidden tiger.
He stepped forward swiftly, closing the distance to the pirate with the gun, grabbing the pistol’s trigger.
The pirate was shocked, instinctively trying to pull the trigger, but it wouldn’t budge!
Evan grabbed the pirate’s arm, turned, and with a powerful motion, lifted the pirate into the air and slammed him to the ground.
Using a force of a thousand pounds, the pirate’s head smashed into his body, becoming a bloody mess, dead beyond doubt!
Evan was truly furious!
