One Piece Space Fruit Chapter 48

Master Space

Can space become elemental?

Evan didn’t know, but by creating a Master Space that he could freely move between and manipulate, he could effectively achieve the elementization of space.

In his awakened state, he could control such an incredible ability.

When attacked, it appeared as though he remained in the real world, but his true self was actually in a distant second space, which Evan called the “Master Space.”

The Master Space was fundamentally different from the ROOM.

The ROOM merely created a spherical space within the real world, enhancing his spatial control to manipulate, teleport, cut, and exert repulsion.

The Master Space, however, was an independent, exclusive space entirely under his control. He could move freely between the Master Space and the real world, appearing invulnerable and immune to attacks. He called this miraculous ability “Phasing.”

“There’s no such thing as an invincible ability,” the white-haired elder said coldly, stroking his long sword. With his power and wealth, he knew that no Devil Fruit could grant true invincibility. The key was personal strength.

The elder leaped forward, his figure blurring through the air. His sword thrust straight into Evan’s chest, passing right through.

But there was no joy on his face, only growing disbelief—his sword had pierced a mere illusion.

Evan’s true body was in the Master Space, separated by countless layers of space. To harm him, the elder would need to shatter the space itself or possess the ability to touch it.

This was no longer a matter of skill but a different level of ability.

Failing to touch a solid body, the elder’s momentum carried him forward, passing through Evan’s illusory form.

“True, there’s no invincible ability, but in ‘Phasing,’ I’m nearly invincible,” Evan said, turning and lightly pressing his hand against the elder’s broad back.

The elder’s pupils shrank. The phantom he’d pierced was now a solid entity!

Reacting swiftly, the elder arched his body, raising his sword to strike back. But Evan, now solid, wouldn’t give him the chance.

“ROOM: Shinra Tensei!”

The repulsive force surged, and the elder was instantly blasted away, crashing through a villa, reducing it to rubble.

“If you won’t let me go, I’ll play with you a bit more,” Evan said with a slight smile. He couldn’t defeat the elder in his awakened state, but escaping was simple.

“Let me give you a parting gift.”

He expanded a massive ROOM, covering nearly half of the Holy Land.

“ROOM: Chibaku Tensei!”

Evan raised his hands, and a terrifying repulsive force lifted the debris from the ruined buildings into the sky, forming a massive spherical rock.

The elder and the villa’s remnants were sucked upward, but he slashed through the rocks, breaking free and fixing himself to a sturdy building. He looked up at the growing sphere, his expression grim.

Soon, a massive sphere, 500 meters in diameter, hovered above the Holy Land, casting an ominous shadow.

The surviving Celestial Dragons below stared in terror, paralyzed with fear. Some were so frightened they soiled themselves.

“Young man, you should know this is the Holy Land of the World Nobles. Don’t go too far!” the elder finally said, a hint of surprise in his usually calm demeanor.

Seeing the supposedly cold and ruthless elder pleading was unexpected for Evan.

Evan shook his head, glancing at the elder. “Did you think about mercy when you destroyed Ohara? Did you think about sparing them a way out?”

Remembering the scholars’ determined faces and Dr. Clover’s resolve on the bombarded Ohara, Evan’s eyes flashed with cold light, his killing intent surging.

He waved his hands, and the massive sphere began to descend.

“You!”

The elder’s face changed. He charged at the sphere, his sword enveloped in powerful Haki. He slashed upwards, sending a massive sword beam slicing through the sphere, shattering it into countless pieces.

Although the sphere was destroyed, the falling debris still caused massive destruction, adding to the already devastated Holy Land.

The firelight continued to illuminate the sky.

“Hmm?” Evan raised an eyebrow, looking toward a direction in the Holy Land. “It seems the other four are here. Time for me to go.”

With a flash of silver light, Evan vanished.

As soon as he left, four elderly men in black uniforms appeared on the battlefield. They had youthful faces and white hair, exuding an extraordinary aura. They looked at the ruins with calm, unhurried expressions.

“He noticed and left early? His perception is sharp.”

“The Holy Land, untouched for centuries, was breached tonight. Not stationing strong guards was a mistake.”

“Yes, the losses here are severe, but this could also curb the arrogance of the Celestial Dragons.”

“Hmph, someone dared to invade the Holy Land. It seems the World Government’s authority is slipping.”

As they discussed, a sword beam burst from the rubble. The elder emerged, confirming that Evan had indeed escaped. He landed beside the four.

“Tell Sengoku to investigate this incident thoroughly!” the elder with the sword ordered coldly, his white robe showing signs of damage but no serious injuries.

Without further discussion, the sword-wielding elder left.

“The third one looked quite disheveled. It’s been years.”

“Indeed, he must have been genuinely angered. The opponent must have been formidable.”

“Press Sengoku! If the Marine lacks the strength to maintain order, how can they control the seas?”

“Yes, and investigate the person who fought the third one. If they have no backing, eliminate them quickly.”

The other elders nodded in agreement. The world had to remain under their control.

Tonight was destined to be sleepless.

Marine Headquarters

Sengoku, half-asleep, donned his Marine coat over his disheveled clothes, clearly having been roused from bed. Though still drowsy, he forced himself to stay alert.

“An emergency call in the middle of the night? What’s going on?” As he approached the admiral’s office, Sengoku wondered, seeing a sweating communications officer coming out.

“Admiral Sengoku,” the officer saluted, relieved to see him. “It’s a call from the Five Elders.”

Sengoku’s face changed. For the Five Elders to be directly involved, something major must have happened!

He quickly entered the office.

For the next ten minutes, Sengoku spoke with the Five Elders. No one knew what was said.

When the call ended, Sengoku sat in his chair, stunned, his eyes filled with shock.

The Holy Land of Mariejois had been attacked!

Someone had dared to challenge the Celestial Dragons and the World Government!

Such a significant event was unprecedented.

Cold sweat dripped from Sengoku. Though he wasn’t directly to blame, as admiral responsible for maintaining order, this failure was on him. If held accountable, he might lose his position.
