“Maintaining an awakened state of ability corresponds to one’s physical strength and stamina, as well as the derived power of Haki.”
“And the deepening and extension of the awakened state…”
Evan pondered, raising his palm.
He focused on the lines on his palm, and his spatial ability activated. A milky white glow appeared on his palm, and intricate dark patterns began to emerge, winding up his arm, each line shimmering with brilliance.
At the same time, his deep eyes emitted a faint, majestic golden light.
Spatial Awakening State.
If one could see inside his body, they would see all his energy surging into his hands and then dissipating like steam, maintaining this deeper level of spatial ability.
Stamina was consumed rapidly.
Subconsciously, the ROOM he maintained expanded rapidly, soon surpassing its usual 500-meter diameter.
One thousand meters, fifteen hundred meters, two thousand meters…
It extended until it reached a terrifying 3000-meter diameter.
In the awakened state, the maximum range of his ROOM could reach an astounding 3000 meters.
The highest point had already touched the protective bubble of Fish-Man Island, weakening his control and perception after penetrating the external seawater. The range spread out, almost encompassing the entire Fish-Man Street.
Everything within the circular space moved and responded to his thoughts.
“Control space with the palm of your hand…”
Evan looked down at the dark patterns on his palm. His spatial ability was concentrated in his palm and then extended outward to affect the surrounding space.
It was as if he was using his hands to control space.
His body floated gently, reaching a level of control over the surrounding space that felt as natural as a fish in water. The feeling was exquisite.
Evan took a step, silently breaking through the world’s spatial barriers, entering a personal space invisible to others.
Inside his personal space was a clean, empty area of about 100 square meters, gray and lifeless.
Only one corner held a pile of treasures he had casually collected from the residences of the Celestial Dragons.
Apart from that, there was nothing.
Sound, light, temperature… all sensory perceptions were silent.
This place was like a true hell abandoned by the gods, a desolate void that made one feel deeply despairing. Even Impel Down’s infinite hell couldn’t compare.
Fortunately, Evan created and controlled this space, allowing him to switch between the pirate world and his personal space. Otherwise, he couldn’t stay here for even a moment.
No living creatures could enter this space. Evan had tried; only he and objects could exist here, as the space seemed to consciously reject others.
“If I could let others enter, this space could become an impenetrable base for the Akatsuki organization.”
Evan thought, but the task of transforming this environment was daunting.
Outside, a giant sea king monster fish was swimming in the sky, its massive body buoyed by bubbles. It carried a palace-like structure on its back, resembling a giant turtle.
It was steadily approaching Fish-Man Street.
“What is that?!”
The residents of Fish-Man Street soon noticed the approaching giant fish and looked up in awe.
“It’s the royal Phoenix Tail Ship!”
A sharp-eyed Fish-Man recognized it and exclaimed, shock evident on his face.
“Why are the royals leaving Ryugu Palace to come to a remote place like Fish-Man Street?”
“Yeah, this is really rare.”
“Could it be they’ve heard about Tiger’s return and are here to invite him to the palace?”
The Fish-Men on Fish-Man Street stopped in their tracks, discussing the rare and majestic sight of the royal vehicle.
As the Phoenix Tail Ship drew closer, several shirtless Fish-Men stood on its massive head.
From left to right, there was the second prince, Ryuboshi, a yellow-banded Fish-Man, tall and thin with hair like seaweed. In the middle was the first prince, Fukaboshi, a large shark Fish-Man with a sturdy, muscular build, sharp, piercing eyes, and wild hair. On the right was the third prince, Manboshi, a red sunfish Fish-Man, chubby and round, wearing a cap. (The offspring of Fish-Men and Mermaids are not determined by their parents but by the ancient Fish-Man genes within them.)
Fukaboshi stood in the middle, the most imposing and muscular, holding a trident with a majestic presence. The other two princes clearly followed his lead, their arms wrapped in the royal family’s distinctive noble ribbons.
“Prince Fukaboshi, that’s his place.”
Arlong, dressed as a guard, stepped forward and pointed to a house on Fish-Man Street, his gaze sinister and cold.
“Alright, let’s approach there,” Fukaboshi commanded.
The massive Phoenix Tail Ship turned and finally stopped in front of the house where Evan and his group were temporarily staying.
The three princes descended directly from the sea king beast’s head, followed by well-equipped guard soldiers who swiftly surrounded the house.
Fukaboshi, holding his trident, approached the door and knocked politely. Knock, knock, knock.
Creak—
The door opened.
Snow, dressed in a white robe, stepped out. Her beautiful face was expressionless, and her silver eyes were cold as ice. She ignored the dense array of Fish-Men soldiers outside.
She stood like an immovable iceberg, her coldness almost palpable, lowering the temperature of the surrounding air.
“Hello, is Mr. Evan home?” Fukaboshi asked.
Snow didn’t speak, her silver eyes coldly observing him. Not sensing any immediate malice, she shook her head slightly.
“Not here?” Fukaboshi questioned.
Snow nodded, still silent. Her hands folded in front of her, she maintained a vigilant stance, ready to retaliate if they showed any hostile intentions.
“Hey, girl, do you know who you’re talking to? These three are the princes of this Fish-Man Kingdom!” Arlong stepped out from the soldiers, his attitude arrogant and overbearing.
“If you don’t bring out your boss, we’ll tear this place down!” Arlong sneered but winced, clutching his injured face.
Inside the house, Uoh peered out from behind Snow and, seeing Arlong, smirked mockingly. “Hey, isn’t this the guy I beat up yesterday, crawling on the ground, begging for mercy? And now you brought your masters?”
“You!”
Arlong seethed with rage but suppressed his urge to attack, his face twisted in anger. He knew well that he was no match for Uoh, still bearing injuries from their previous encounter.
He looked to Fukaboshi for support, shouting hoarsely, “Prince Fukaboshi, Evan is clearly inside, just too scared to come out.”
“Excuse me, is Mr. Evan inside?” Fukaboshi frowned.
“Our boss isn’t here. If you have any business, talk to us,” Uoh replied, striding confidently out to face Fukaboshi.
He barely reached Fukaboshi’s waist but stood tall, looking up with an air of defiance and pride.
