One Piece Swordsman’s Heart Chapter 52

The Legacy of Senior Sister

“Crocodile, you really made it hard for me to find you. But oh well, I have some matters to discuss with you. If you don’t agree, I might just have to finish you off.” Vir smiled at Crocodile in front of him.

“Heh heh, quite arrogant, aren’t you? Thinking your bounty gives you the right to do as you please? I’ve seen many newcomers like you, and they usually die young.” Crocodile smirked back at Vir.

But despite his outward demeanor, Crocodile was inwardly nervous. Vir’s speed earlier was so swift that he couldn’t react in time. Now, all he could do was pray that Vir didn’t know his weaknesses and wouldn’t use Haki.

“Well, enough of that useless talk. I’m here mainly because I’ve set my sights on the title of Shichibukai. By the way, you must have a Den Den Mushi to contact the Marines, preferably someone like Zan Gou. Give me that, and I’ll let you off.” Truth be told, Vir didn’t really care much about Crocodile; he found him rather weak.

Crocodile relied solely on his Devil Fruit ability; his physical combat skills were abysmal, and his mastery of the Devil Fruit was lacking.

“Set your sights on the title of Shichibukai? Hahaha, how ridiculous. Do you think just anyone can become a Shichibukai?” Before Vir could reply, Crocodile attacked directly.

“Erosion Reincarnation!”

Crocodile placed his right hand on the ground. Instantly, the ground around them in the Rain Banquet dried up rapidly, turning into sand, followed by the walls.

It seemed Crocodile intended to turn the Rain Banquet into a sandy terrain advantageous for his battle.

Vir used ‘Flash’ to instantly appear in front of Crocodile. While Crocodile was still in the process of using ‘Erosion Reincarnation’, Vir’s right hand was wrapped in Armament Haki, and he punched Crocodile, sending him flying.

“I wasn’t planning to resort to violence, but since you attacked first, don’t blame me.” A nervous smile, typical in combat situations, appeared on Vir’s face.

Crossing his hands, he drew ‘Blood Intent’ from its sheath, covering it with Armament Haki and lightning, while also activating ‘Thunder Mode’.

As Crocodile was getting up, Vir used ‘Flash’ to appear behind him, slashing with his two swords before Crocodile could finish using ‘Erosion Reincarnation’.

Crocodile felt a chill down his spine, sensing a deadly threat approaching from behind.

Without hesitation, Crocodile abandoned his pride and rolled on the ground to narrowly avoid Vir’s dual sword attack.

Just as Crocodile was about to breathe a sigh of relief for surviving, Vir launched his second attack.

Again, it was a slashing attack with both swords, but this time, it was several times faster than before. Crocodile couldn’t dodge in time, and his back was slashed with two intersecting wounds.

This wasn’t the worst part; Crocodile felt a large amount of his fresh blood flowing outward through the wounds at a speed he had never experienced before.

‘Blood Intent’ only stayed in the wounds for a few seconds, but Crocodile felt he was losing too much blood.

Vir was also surprised; he hadn’t expected ‘Blood Intent’ to have such strong blood-sucking abilities. Just moments ago, Crocodile had been full of life, but now he lay on the ground like a dead dog, gasping violently. His once pale black skin now turned ashen.

“Hey, hey, what happened to your natural abilities? You’re way weaker than I thought. Hey, don’t die on me. Tell me where the Den Den Mushi to contact the Marines is. Otherwise, I’ll have to resort to the techniques Senior Sister taught me.” Vir kicked Crocodile lying on the ground. He didn’t want him to die; if he did, his efforts today would be in vain.

“Heh heh heh, want that Den Den Mushi reserved for the Shichibukai? Even if you kill me today, I won’t tell you. Senior Sister’s techniques? Ridiculous. I, Crocodile, have been through much worse.” Despite being heavily injured and lying on the ground, Crocodile still retained his pride.

He was indeed proud; under different circumstances, Vir might have admired him. However, Crocodile shouldn’t have said that last sentence, “Senior Sister’s techniques? Ridiculous.” Because that would soon become the biggest regret of his life.

“Heh heh heh, heh heh heh, you look down on Senior Sister’s torture techniques? Since that’s the case, let me give you a personal demonstration.” With that, Vir sheathed ‘Blood Intent’.

On the inside of Vir’s small windbreaker, on the right side of his chest, was a hidden pouch. Vir took out this pouch, which contained a set of torture tools Senior Sister had given him. Although these tools were small, they could bring immense despair and pain to anyone.

Vir didn’t immediately use them; instead, he grabbed Crocodile by the back of his collar and dragged him inside, finding Crocodile’s office. Vir then tied Crocodile to the chair he usually sat in.

Vir wasn’t doing this out of boredom but because the place where they had fought earlier had turned into a sandy terrain. Vir feared Crocodile might die if he tortured him there, so he chose a more suitable environment.

Moreover, in a familiar environment, Crocodile’s will would be stronger, which would make things more interesting.

Vir’s face was now filled with a nervous smile. When Crocodile saw Vir’s smile, he felt his scalp tingle, sensing something bad was about to happen. As Vir acted, Crocodile let out an inhuman scream of despair.

One hour later.

Inside Crocodile’s office, there was no longer the agonizing cries that had been heard at the beginning.

At this moment, Crocodile trembled all over, his face covered with tears and snot.

But even so, Crocodile still didn’t give in. Even though his body was pierced with various strange tools he had never seen before.

Now, even breathing once caused unbearable pain for him because the maniac in front of him, fearing his death, injected him with life-sustaining drugs and even a bit of anesthesia, but he still felt unbearable pain.

“Heh heh heh, heh heh heh, you’re a stubborn fellow. It’s just a Den Den Mushi. Is it worth holding out like this? Well then, let’s move on to the next stage.

Oh, right, what just happened was the first stage. There are a total of four stages. My best record is completing the second stage. Most people don’t survive past the fourth stage. Only my Senior Sister has completed the fourth stage several times; after all, she invented it.” After saying this, Vir took out several tools from the torture kit that Crocodile had never seen before.

Hearing Vir mention there were four stages, Crocodile truly felt despair. What just happened was only the first stage? There are three more stages to come?

In the end, Crocodile surrendered.

Only swordsmanship and Haki, no chaotic Devil Fruit abilities.

A master swordsman doesn't possess a merciful or naive heart.

My name is Vir, and I come from Earth.

In the world of One Piece, I savor the cuisine of various regions and battle with all sorts of powerful adversaries.

I am an adventurer, not a pirate, Vir emphasized his identity while standing atop a pile of navy corpses on the battlefield at Marineford, facing Sengoku with a grim expression.
