Robin felt someone slowly approaching from behind, and she knew it had to be Vir.
What Robin didn’t expect was how cruel Vir could be. After seeing Crocodile’s miserable state, all she wanted to do was escape, as far away as possible.
Vir slowly approached Robin, looking at her beautiful back, and a mischievous thought crossed his mind.
He pressed close against Robin’s back, slowly sliding his hand under her shirt, playing with her chest.
Robin felt utterly helpless. The person behind her was not only cruel but also likely a pervert. She felt despair at the thought of what might happen next but despaired even more at the thought of resisting.
But just as Robin was feeling hopeless, Vir suddenly withdrew his hand.
Seeing that Robin was on the verge of tears and having had his fun, Vir decided to stop teasing her.
“Hehehe, what are you thinking? Don’t worry, I was just looking for the Den Den Mushi,” Vir continued to tease Robin after taking advantage of her.
“The Den Den Mushi you wanted. Tell me, where is the Poneglyph?” Robin didn’t mention Vir’s indecent behavior but held the Shichibukai’s special Den Den Mushi in her hand.
She didn’t give it to Vir directly, implying that if he told her the Poneglyph’s location, she would hand over the Den Den Mushi.
Vir, of course, wouldn’t be threatened by this little girl. He used “Flash” to instantly appear in front of Robin, taking the Den Den Mushi and examining it.
This Den Den Mushi, aside from being slightly larger than a regular one and having a Marine emblem on its shell, wasn’t particularly special.
However, it seemed to have seen Crocodile’s miserable state, making it afraid of Vir and unwilling to come out of its shell to work.
“Tell me, where is the Poneglyph? You promised,” Robin repeated, showing that despite her fear of Vir, the Poneglyph was more important to her.
“Oh, the Poneglyph? There’s one in Ohara. You can go look for it,” Vir said, even though he knew there was one in Alabasta. But now was not the time to tell Robin.
Saving Robin was a job for that fool Luffy. Vir was good at killing, not saving people, so he admired Luffy a bit in this regard.
“You… I know there’s one in Ohara, but Ohara is now a ruin, and the Poneglyph has been taken by the World Government. Liar,” Robin knew she had been fooled by Vir’s answer.
“Did I lie to you? Was there no Poneglyph in Ohara? Ah, I forgot to mention, it was once there. Hehehe, such a severe miscommunication,” Vir stopped teasing Robin and focused on the Den Den Mushi in front of him.
“Hey, if you don’t come out and work, I’ll make snail gratin out of you,” Vir said coldly to the Den Den Mushi hiding in its shell.
The Den Den Mushi, terrified by Vir’s words, timidly poked its head out and started working for the terrifying human before it.
Seeing the Den Den Mushi being so obedient, Vir smiled and picked up the receiver.
The Den Den Mushi rang for a moment before being answered by a man’s voice.
“This is the Marine Headquarters. May I ask what business you have, Lord Crocodile?” The voice from the Den Den Mushi didn’t sound like Sengoku. It was probably another Marine.
“I’m not Crocodile. Let me speak to Sengoku. If Sengoku doesn’t answer, there will be one less Shichibukai,” Vir didn’t want to waste time with a Marine soldier who couldn’t make decisions. It was better to go straight to Sengoku.
“May I ask who you are? Mr. Sengoku is very busy and may not be able to speak with you,” the Marine soldier didn’t follow Vir’s instructions but seemed to whisper something to someone nearby.
“Don’t make me repeat myself. If a Shichibukai dies because of you, can you take responsibility? Marine,” Vir finished speaking and waited for a response.
The other party was silent for a moment.
“Please wait a moment. I will inform him. It won’t take long,” the Marine soldier said before going silent.
At Marineford.
Sengoku was processing the day’s documents as usual.
Handling a large number of documents daily was tiring for Sengoku. He put down his papers, lightly massaging his forehead to relax his mind.
He glanced at Garp, who was sitting across from him, sleeping soundly. Sengoku suddenly felt a bit envious of Garp’s life. Though Garp didn’t have a high rank, he had a lot of free time. Sengoku wondered if he should have been like Garp, staying as a Vice Admiral.
But remembering his responsibilities, Sengoku dismissed the thought. Someone had to oversee the bigger picture, and the Navy needed a wise Fleet Admiral. He was suitable for the role. If Garp was the Navy’s fist, Sengoku was its brain. Unfortunately, they were both getting old.
While Sengoku was lost in thought, there was a knock on the door. Sengoku called for the person to enter, and his secretary walked in.
“Report, Fleet Admiral Sengoku. We just received a call on Shichibukai Crocodile’s special line. However, the caller claimed not to be Crocodile and said Crocodile is critically injured. The caller demands to speak with you and threatens to kill Crocodile if you refuse. That is all,” the secretary reported and waited for Sengoku’s instructions.
“Hmm? Crocodile has been defeated? These guys, it would be better if they all died. If it weren’t for the greater good, there wouldn’t be a Shichibukai system. Alright, bring the Den Den Mushi. Do you know the caller’s identity?”
Sengoku had always had a low opinion of the Shichibukai. To him, they acted recklessly and were unreliable in crucial moments. Even when summoned, they were often ineffective. If it weren’t for maintaining balance at sea, they would have been eliminated long ago.
“The caller didn’t reveal their identity. Fleet Admiral Sengoku, I will take my leave now.” After Sengoku nodded, the secretary went to instruct subordinates to fetch the Den Den Mushi.
Vir waited about ten minutes before the Den Den Mushi spoke again.
“This is Sengoku. May I ask who you are, and what is Crocodile’s current condition?” Sengoku’s strong voice came through the Den Den Mushi.
“Hehehe, finally someone in charge. I am Vir. As for Crocodile, he’s probably close to death. Let’s not worry about him. I have a good proposal for you. Would you be willing to listen, Mr. Sengoku?” Vir smiled upon hearing Sengoku’s voice, finally finding the right person. But whether they could discuss the Shichibukai matter was uncertain.
“You bastard! You killed Vice Admiral Onigumo and now want to kill Crocodile? What exactly do you want? Are you challenging the Navy’s authority?” Sengoku was furious upon realizing the caller was the troublesome newcomer who had been giving him headaches for a long time.
Couldn’t this guy ever be at peace?
