Vir didn’t immediately approach, sensing that Charlotte Lonnie’s aura was growing stronger.
Charlotte Lonnie’s entire body turned red as if filled with blood. After a few seconds, the redness faded, revealing newly formed abs on her previously flat stomach.
She opened her eyes, revealing a small, pale red dot in the center of each pupil. Covering her hands with Haki, she charged at Vir.
As she approached, Vir noted that her speed was comparable to Apollo Burner’s, deciding to confront her directly to see what had changed.
Upon contact, Vir felt a tremendous force through his sword, sending him flying.
Though uninjured, his arms were sore. Predicting his landing point mid-air, he threw a sword down, which stuck into the ground. Landing on the sword, he released a surge of lightning, halting his momentum.
Vir landed smoothly, astonished. Was this a Devil Fruit ability? What fruit could enhance strength so significantly? Why hadn’t Charlotte Lonnie used it from the start?
Growing serious, Vir realized a direct hit from her could cause severe injury due to her immense strength.
He glanced at Charlotte Lonnie, noting her bloodied hands. Her Haki was insufficient to defend against his slashes.
Feeling more confident, Vir deemed her speed turtle-like compared to his and prepared to finish her off, wary of any other strange abilities she might possess.
Vir swiftly appeared behind Charlotte Lonnie, letting his dual swords hang naturally.
“Secret Sword: Swallow Return.”
Four enormous sword auras flew towards Charlotte Lonnie’s back.
She reacted but was too slow. The four purple-black auras cut through her Haki, muscles, and finally, her spine became visible before the energy dissipated.
Charlotte Lonnie screamed in agony, staggering before collapsing from the severe back wounds.
As she fell, Eileen let out a scream.
Vir watched in amazement as Eileen sprouted cute animal ears, whiskers on her face, and a fluffy, long tail.
Recognizing it as the Cat-Cat Fruit in kitten form, likely the weakest of the Cat-Cat fruits, Eileen charged at Vir like she was sacrificing herself.
Vir found her adorable but weak in both speed and strength, only exhibiting some agility.
As her furry paws reached for him, Charlotte Lonnie weakly shouted, “No!”
Vir, uninterested in using his sword, sheathed it, tripping Eileen and punching her stomach, knocking her out.
Eileen clutched her stomach in pain, collapsing.
Vir searched Charlotte Lonnie for Seastone but found none. Despite Apollo Burner’s claim they had obtained a piece, it wasn’t on her. He considered the possibility she hid it in an impossible place but dismissed it.
Believing the Seastone wasn’t on her, he turned to Eileen.
As he approached, Charlotte Lonnie grabbed his pant leg, trying to stop him.
Vir’s mouth twitched, almost losing his pants from her grip. If not for holding his belt in time, it would have been an embarrassing scene, especially with Tuskie watching, who would surely mock him.
“Let go, you tomboy, or do you want to lose your hand?” Vir warned, hand on his sword hilt.
Charlotte Lonnie weakened from blood loss, released her grip involuntarily.
Vir approached Eileen, who hugged a bag tightly to her chest.
Vir deduced the Seastone was inside.
Seeing her stubbornness annoyed him. Why not leave to seek revenge later? Staying was suicidal.
Perhaps she believed in different principles.
Vir stepped on Eileen’s head, not too hard but enough to make her sink slightly into the ground. He reached for the bag.
Eileen clung to it, her delicate hands gripping tightly.
Increasing the pressure, Vir forced her to release the bag.
Opening it, he found a rough, black stone, presumably Seastone.
Ignoring them, Vir decided to leave them to their fate. Charlotte Lonnie’s chances of survival were slim, and Eileen wasn’t worth killing.
As he walked away, he noticed Tuskie writing a note.
“Al, you go find the Seastone. I’ll practice my medical skills and healing abilities.”
Vir realized Tuskie was feeling compassionate, likely not wanting to see Charlotte Lonnie die. That perverted rabbit.
“Okay, but don’t heal her too much. If she recovers and captures you to threaten me, it’ll be troublesome,” Vir warned, aware of Tuskie’s potent healing ability.
Tuskie nodded, binding Charlotte Lonnie and Eileen’s hands and feet with its coarse fur, ensuring their security.
Relieved, Vir walked off to search the island for Seastone.
