Reincarnated in One Piece Chapter 94

Deadly Temptation

Wang Xu’s face was expressionless; he didn’t even have the interest to reply.

Even though the Lower Moons are part of the Twelve Kizuki, in terms of nourishment, they can’t compare to the Hashira or the Upper Moons.

Moreover, Wang Xu’s mood was very bad.

He had let Nezuko and Giyu Tomioka escape, and for these past twenty days, he had been relentlessly hunting them down.

Until just a few minutes ago, he ran into these four Lower Moons and casually disposed of them in the process.

After devouring the four Lower Moons, Wang Xu could feel that he had grown significantly yet again.

He also obtained some memories from their cells.

Nezuko and Giyu Tomioka should still be in this area. It seems the four Lower Moons had discovered some small clues that brought them here. Also, the Snake Pillar from the Demon Slayer Corps, as well as an Upper Moon, might be in the nearby city of Yoshiwara.

This was very good news for Wang Xu.

In the Infinity Castle, Muzan Kibutsuji—who had been adjusting some medicine—suddenly stopped his actions and closed his eyes.

After about ten seconds, he reopened them. His crimson pupils were brimming with cold light.

He could sense that Gyutaro, Daki, Akaza, and Kokushibo were already dead.

Now there were only five members left in the Twelve Kizuki:

  • Upper Moon Two: Doma
  • Upper Moon Three: Nakime
  • Upper Moon Four: Hantengu
  • Upper Moon Five: Gyokko
  • And the only remaining Lower Moon One: Kaigaku

Two days later, in the afternoon, the sun hung high, and the air felt stuffy.

In the bustling commercial street of Yoshiwara, Tang An was sitting at a takoyaki stall. The upper half of his face was hidden behind a fox mask as he leisurely savored his food.

He arrived in Yoshiwara this morning.

After training deep in the mountains for twenty days, it was time to walk around and get a sense of the current situation.

By sheer coincidence, he chose a random direction and ended up here in Yoshiwara.

He had just learned from the stall owner that the Entertainment District had reopened.

And tonight there will be a lantern festival.

After finishing his takoyaki, Tang An planned to find a decent inn, settle in, then go soak in a hot spring, and later in the evening head to the Entertainment District to relax.

Starting tomorrow, he would need to get down to serious work.

He had no idea what was going on with the Demon Slayer Corps, Muzan Kibutsuji, Wang Xu, Nezuko, and all the others!

Last time, after he killed Kokushibo, he drew five crates of Erguotou liquor. He had to admit, it really got him hammered.

Time passed quickly; in the blink of an eye, night fell.

“It’s pretty lively.”

That afternoon, Tang An had soaked in a hot spring and enjoyed a massage. Now he stood in the street, where the bustling crowds surrounded him.

He was walking toward the Entertainment District, but it wasn’t the old location—rather, a different street.

Bright lights and vivid neon, the long-lost feeling of familiarity.

Nightlife like this was for people with money. As long as you had enough money, you could drown in revelry and debauchery.

Some bold types were already exploring “the origins of humanity” in the back alleys.

There were sounds of birds returning to their nests, or water swirling into a black hole, occasionally accompanied by yelps—part pain, part pleasure, part excitement, part intoxication!

As Tang An stepped into the Entertainment District, something unexpected happened.

“Boom…”

A sudden explosion sent firelight soaring into the sky. Many people scrambled to flee in panic, their screams and wails tainting the very air that had moments ago been buzzing with excitement.

Tang An frowned slightly, stopping amid the fleeing crowd. He could sense several powerful auras in the distance.

Some of them even felt familiar.

With a leap, Tang An jumped onto a rooftop, looking toward the center of the explosion. There, people were fighting!

“Serpent Breathing, Third Form: Coil Choke.”

Snake Pillar Obanai Iguro brandished his Nichirin Sword in a serpentine arc, as though it were a giant snake, swiftly coiling around Wang Xu.

“Water Breathing, Fourth Form: Striking Tide.”

On the left side, Giyu Tomioka also launched an attack.

Facing attacks from both sides, Wang Xu created a clone of himself.

The aftermath of the trio’s battle was immense. The surrounding buildings were torn apart and reduced to rubble.

“You’ve turned into a demon.”

Five strings of thread blocked Giyu Tomioka’s Nichirin Sword.

Wang Xu stared coldly at the demonified Giyu Tomioka.

He did not sense Nezuko’s presence—only Giyu Tomioka and the Snake Pillar.

From a distant rooftop, Tang An lowered his aura, watching the fight closely, lost in thought.

At a single glance, it was obvious Giyu Tomioka was now a demon. Meanwhile, the Snake Pillar seemed normal.

And Wang Xu appeared even stronger than before.

That clone looked exactly like Donquixote Doflamingo’s String-String Fruit ability.

It looked like some things had happened while he’d been away.

Maybe tonight he’d get to play the fisherman again.

That old fable—“When the mantis stalks the cicada, the oriole is right behind,” allowing the fisherman to profit—he loved that kind of scenario.

As Tang An watched, the fight quickly reached a fever pitch.

With demonified Giyu Tomioka and Snake Pillar Obanai Iguro attacking together, Wang Xu summoned a clone, and together they completely overpowered both. It seemed it wouldn’t be long before Giyu Tomioka and the Snake Pillar would be defeated.

“Swoosh!”

A flash of invisible thread whizzed by; Giyu Tomioka’s left arm was sliced off. He didn’t so much as flinch. He slashed his Nichirin Sword at Wang Xu’s neck with his right hand, using a life-for-life tactic.

Unfortunately, Wang Xu blocked it.

On the other side, the Snake Pillar’s battle against the clone grew more and more intense. Possibly because it was so close to Wang Xu’s main body, this clone was extremely frightening. And since it was made of string, it couldn’t really be killed at all.

Unnoticed, Tang An was already gripping a dogleg blade in his hand.

His purple pupils narrowed slightly as he fixed his gaze on the fight between Wang Xu and Giyu Tomioka.

He was waiting for the perfect moment.

As soon as there was a chance to kill with a single strike, he wouldn’t hesitate to strike at Wang Xu.

In Tang An’s view, Wang Xu posed a far greater threat than Giyu Tomioka or the Snake Pillar.

What’s more, the value of both sides was entirely different.

In Tang An’s eyes, Wang Xu was like a walking VIP card for good luck.

Initially, Tang An intended to wait for both sides to suffer and then step in, but the way things were going, it looked more like only one side would suffer defeat, not both.

“Now’s the time—instant kill.”

After roughly a minute, Giyu Tomioka forced Wang Xu to expose a brief opening.

In that split second, golden lightning flashed across the night sky, bright enough to illuminate everything.

This lightning attack came so quickly and unexpectedly that no one on the scene anticipated it—no one except Wang Xu.

Time seemed to slow at that moment. From Tang An’s perspective, everything around him moved sluggishly.

His dogleg blade was already glowing red-hot, the temperature pushed to its limit. But just when it was only ten centimeters from Wang Xu’s neck, Wang Xu suddenly twisted around, letting his head detach from his neck, revealing a triumphant grin.

“Not good.”

Tang An’s hair stood on end. He swept the dogleg blade through the open gap of Wang Xu’s severed neck, slicing nothing but air.

Because of the lightning-fast move, Tang An had no way to change his strike mid-attack. A single transparent, razor-sharp thread instantly cut him in half at the waist.

And Tang An had practically flung himself straight into it.

“Damn it.”

With his upper body spraying blood as it flew through the air, Tang An had lost control. If he wanted to survive, he had only one choice—he had to transform!

“Boom—crack…”

A massive column of golden lightning crashed down from the sky like a missile, blowing apart the ground. Countless pieces of debris went flying like a meteor shower; for a moment, sand and rocks swirled wildly, making it hard for anyone to stay upright.

Giyu Tomioka and the Snake Pillar both retreated quickly.

Wang Xu’s head reattached to his body. He flipped back onto the rubble and stared at the roiling steam at the center of the blast.

He knew this fellow countryman wasn’t dead.

“Ah, so that’s how it is!”

As the steam dissipated, Wang Xu saw the fifteen-meter-tall Titan form, and his eyes glinted with excitement.

If he wasn’t mistaken, this was the Armored Titan from the world of Attack on Titan.

Which meant this fellow countryman might very well have traveled to Attack on Titan’s world—so he could travel to other worlds.

This was precisely what Wang Xu wanted!

When it came to “cheats,” he himself only had a so-called “sixth sense.” One could hardly even call that a cheat.

But to be able to travel to other worlds—that kind of power was a deadly temptation for Wang Xu.
