Chapter 295: Blasted with One Punch
From high above.
A towering tree over 300 meters tall had sprouted from Konoha’s stadium, its countless branches resembling a giant hand holding up a meteorite over a kilometre in diameter.
This scene was truly breathtaking.
The Konoha TV crew diligently remained at their posts, broadcasting this image to every corner of the ninja world.
Then.
The heroes who had successfully stopped the falling meteorite, whether it was the Four Kage led by Onoki or the suddenly appearing former Hokage of Konoha, were all shown on the TV screen.
“That was close. I almost lost my old life.”
Onoki slowly descended, looking in amazement at the thick branches beneath his feet, then noticed the First Hokage and the others on the ground.
So, it was the God of Shinobi, Hashirama Senju.
No wonder.
Only that man could wield such a massive Wood Release jutsu to counter a natural disaster.
Onoki cast a grateful glance at Hashirama, who nodded back at him.
“Tsuchikage, are you alright?”
The Fourth Raikage, Chiyo, and Mei Terumi hurried over, joining Onoki. They had all exerted considerable effort and were panting heavily.
“We did it, everyone.”
Onoki remarked, looking at his bloodied hands and then at the dust-covered Kage.
For a moment, the four of them shared a genuine smile, feeling fortunate to have survived.
After a brief moment of relaxation, Onoki put away his smile and frowned, looking towards the stands where Dan was seated, mumbling:
“The sudden appearance of the former Hokage… was it a coincidence, or had the Sixth Hokage anticipated all this? Uchiha Dan, truly a terrifying and unpredictable man.”
“By the way, where did this meteorite come from?”
The Fourth Raikage asked, looking up again at the enormous stone above, still unable to hide his inner shock.
“Could it be the Akatsuki?”
Mei Terumi speculated, frowning, “Do you remember the Six Paths of Pain on the Konoha battlefield during the Fourth Great Ninja War? At that time, he used the Rinnegan to create a Chibaku Tensei, which is very similar to this meteorite.
I heard the current leader of the Akatsuki is Naruto Uzumaki, who transplanted Pain’s Rinnegan and inherited his desire for revenge against Konoha.
Only the power of the Rinnegan could create such a meteorite.”
“Sounds plausible.”
Chiyo and Onoki nodded in agreement.
The Konoha Four also had similar thoughts.
“Was this meteorite Naruto’s doing? Sigh, it’s all my fault. If only I had taken better care of the Fourth Hokage’s orphan, things wouldn’t have turned out like this.”
Hiruzen Sarutobi muttered in self-blame, sighing continuously.
Jiraiya remained silent beside him.
He had recently seen Naruto, a boy shrouded in darkness. With Naruto’s extremist tendencies, he could do something this crazy.
However.
As Sarutobi had said, as the son of Konoha’s hero, Naruto becoming like this was something the former Third Hokage could not evade responsibility for.
But this time.
Everyone had wronged Naruto.
Outside Konoha, at the top of a tall tree, Naruto Uzumaki watched the meteorite inside the village with a shocked expression.
It wasn’t his doing.
Summoning such a massive meteorite was beyond even his abilities with the Rinnegan.
Who could it be?
Naruto racked his brain but couldn’t figure out who else in the ninja world had such godlike power.
But whoever it was, this meteorite was not the end, but just the beginning.
A tremendous battle was inevitable.
With that thought.
Whoosh.
Naruto leapt from the tree and headed towards Konoha. He intended to get closer and then adapt to the situation.
Elsewhere.
On a hillside, Uchiha Madara, clad in red armour and with long black hair, formed a tiger seal expressionlessly.
A blue Susanoo appeared around him.
Unlike ordinary Susanoo, Madara had two faces and four arms, standing back to back, making it far more powerful than a regular Susanoo.
“This is Madara-sama’s power? He can summon such a colossal meteorite, something beyond human capability.”
Kisame Hoshigaki’s eyes widened in disbelief.
Before coming to Konoha, he had imagined a hundred ways to destroy it, only to realise Madara’s approach was simple, crude, and overwhelmingly shocking.
“Too bad Uchiha Dan hasn’t acted yet, and the small fry have already managed to stop the meteorite. Konoha’s foundation is truly terrifying.”
Black Zetsu sighed in amazement.
“Hmph.”
Madara snorted, not looking back, “That giant tree… it must be Hashirama’s Wood Release. Even if Konoha wants him, his heart still leans towards it.
But if they can stop the first meteorite, what about the second one?
I want to see what they plan to do next.”
With those words, Madara smirked coldly, and his Rinnegan surged with immense power once more.
“What is…”
Kisame shuddered, his pupils dilating to the maximum.
In the distance, the second meteorite broke through the clouds over Konoha, descending with even greater weight and speed, heading straight for the first meteorite.
This was… an apocalyptic disaster.
In the stadium.
“I want to have a proper talk with the Sixth Hokage.”
The First Hokage, Hashirama, stepped forward and said to Kakashi, then looked up solemnly at the highest stand.
His gaze met Dan’s in mid-air, a historic exchange of looks between the strongest of two eras.
Hashirama’s intention was simple.
He wanted to speak with Dan face-to-face, clarify any misunderstandings, and reach some consensus before deciding what to do next.
Dan viewed the former Hokage as enemies of Konoha, and that was fine. Hashirama was willing to accept any so-called judgment and take responsibility for his “crimes.”
But the most urgent matter now was protecting Konoha.
Hashirama and Tobirama had already died once, and as long as they could protect Konoha, they were willing to lend their power to the Uchiha clan.
Seeing Hashirama’s serious expression, Kakashi hesitated but ultimately ordered the ANBU to make way.
Just as the four former Hokage were about to confront Uchiha Dan.
“It’s happening again!”
The host’s terrified voice interrupted them.
The dedicated host held the microphone with a trembling hand, looking at the sky with a face of despair, and announced to all the spectators:
“There’s another meteorite, it’s twice the size of the first one, and it’s about to fall!”
What?!
In an instant, everyone from the Four Kage to the former Hokage and the spectators all looked up at the sky.
“You’ve got to be kidding…”
Chiyo, the Kazekage, murmured, feeling more hopeless than she had in her nearly eighty years of life.
“It’s coming!”
Onoki, undeterred, launched himself into the air again, pushing against the meteorite with his hands.
Inspired by him, the other three Kage followed suit.
On the ground.
Hashirama’s expression turned serious, pausing his meeting with Dan. He slammed his palm onto the ground again, using his immense chakra to further grow the towering tree.
“Let’s go help too.”
Tobirama said to Hiruzen and Jiraiya. They nodded and rushed up the tree trunk and branches to join Onoki and the others in stopping the meteorite.
Under everyone’s watchful eyes.
Boom.
The second meteorite collided with the first, causing the latter to crack and shatter instantly.
Its power exceeded everyone’s expectations.
“No, we can’t hold it!”
Onoki roared in frustration as he was buried by debris falling from the sky.
The Fourth Raikage, Kazekage, Tobirama, and Hiruzen were also overwhelmed.
“Damn, have we failed?”
Tobirama tried using the Flying Thunder God Technique to move the meteorite outside the village, but its size and mass were too overwhelming, leaving him powerless.
He exhausted his chakra but couldn’t move the two-kilometer-wide meteorite.
In the end.
Only Hashirama’s Wood Release was still barely holding on, preventing the meteorite from hitting the ground, but it was clear the towering tree would soon be destroyed.
Moreover.
Shards from the first meteorite were already raining down like a storm, causing chaos and casualties in the stadium stands.
At this moment, both inside and outside the stadium, the entire village of Konoha was in extreme terror and despair, thrown into chaos.
The apocalypse was imminent.
Thud.
Mei Terumi fell to her knees on the stands, exhausted.
In front of her, Dan still sat in his chair, unmoved.
Mei Terumi, desperate, pleaded with Dan:
“Sixth Hokage, please save everyone, save the entire ninja world, my lord!”
In her desperation, perhaps recalling the time the Sharingan controlled her, she unconsciously called him “my lord.”
“Good grief.”
Dan sighed and finally stood up, reaching out a hand to pull Mei Terumi to her feet.
Since all the fish had surfaced, it was time for him to stretch his muscles.
“Don’t panic, take a seat first.”
He pressed Mei Terumi down by her shoulders, forcing her into the chair. Then, under her astonished gaze, he took off his pristine white Hokage robe.
Broad shoulders, muscular back, and powerful arms.
Mei Terumi watched Dan’s back up close; his devilish muscles seemed to be alive, constantly rippling in front of her.
The sheer visual impact of his perfect physique was almost as overwhelming as the meteorite above.
“This robe is too cumbersome. Hold it for me.”
Dan tossed the Hokage robe into Mei Terumi’s lap, then clenched his fists, his knuckles cracking loudly.
At the same time.
His eyes transformed, becoming the mysterious and noble purple of the Rinnegan, like the rings of a tree.
On the ground.
“Gate of Shock, open!”
Might Guy roared, unleashing an unimaginable amount of chakra, his body emitting blue steam from his evaporating sweat.
He opened the Seventh Gate of the Eight Gates.
But Guy knew this wasn’t enough and didn’t intend to stop there. His determined eyes fixed on the massive meteorite in the sky, his resolve growing stronger.
“Guy, what are you doing?”
Kakashi shouted in horror, trying to stop his friend from taking that step.
But Guy was resolute, speaking earnestly to Kakashi:
“Don’t try to stop me, Kakashi.
I’m going to open the final gate, the Gate of Death. This will give me power surpassing that of the Kage by dozens of times, and I’ll use that power to stop the meteorite from destroying Konoha.
My father once did the same for the village. Now it’s my turn.”
With that, he was ready to burn his life and perform his final dance.
“Wait!”
Kakashi grabbed Guy’s arm and shouted, “Look, the Hokage is making his move!”
Just as he finished speaking.
Boom!
Dan stomped the ground from the highest stand, unleashing a powerful gust of wind that shattered the plaque reading “World’s Greatest” and blew Mei Terumi and her chair away.
Whoosh.
He shot up like a rocket, raising his muscular right arm and delivering a punch.
This seemingly simple punch shook the very space, creating a dark crack in the air with a thunderous sound.
Finally.
As Dan thrust himself into the meteorite, the space crack extended, and a tsunami-like force surged into the meteorite.
At that moment, countless eyes watched the towering figure in the sky, focusing on his awe-inspiring punch.
Because everyone knew.
Only this man, Uchiha Dan, could save Konoha.
In the next second.
Blinding white light erupted in the sky, engulfing everything.
Millions inside and outside Konoha, and billions watching on TV, could only see a white expanse, their eyes nearly blinded.
Amidst the white light, a tremendous crash was faintly heard.
Seconds later, the white light dissipated.
What happened?
Everyone craned their necks, eager and anxious to see the sky.
“Where is the Sixth Hokage? He’s gone?”
The Fourth Raikage’s eyes widened, unable to find Dan, who seemed to have vanished.
Onoki’s pupils shrank, his face shocked: “No, he’s inside the meteorite. Listen carefully!”
Rumble.
Continuous crashing sounds came from within the two-kilometer-wide meteorite.
Dan, like a drill breaking through the sky, was tunneling from the bottom of the meteorite upward, and as he neared the top, the surface of the meteorite cracked extensively.
Finally.
Boom.
Dan burst out from the top of the meteorite, punching through it entirely, causing it to collapse from the immense internal force.
“What did I just see? The Hokage shattered the meteorite! We’re saved…”
On the ground, the host shouted excitedly, but his joy was short-lived as he quickly changed his tone, “No, wait, run!”
It turned out.
Though Dan’s punch shattered the two-kilometer-wide meteorite, preventing it from crashing directly into Konoha, it quickly fragmented into thousands of smaller meteorites, flying in all directions at high speed.
Konoha was now facing a meteor shower.
“I’ve done my best.”
In mid-air, Dan spread his hands helplessly.
He had protected Konoha, but not entirely.
