Yasuo in Marvel Chapter 33

Agent 13

Agent 13, Sharon Carter, is a top-level ninth-grade agent within S.H.I.E.L.D. She is the niece of Peggy Carter, one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The mission’s target was the New York Police Commissioner, who, apart from his identity, had nothing particularly special about him. According to intelligence analysis, he should be at home at this moment, having not left his house since returning earlier today.

Sharon Carter prepared to breach through the front door. However, as she approached the stairs, she sensed something was wrong. Her long-time mission instincts triggered a sense of danger.

Sure enough, with a loud “bang,” the entire security door flew toward her, slamming her against the wall with immense force.

A bizarre growling sound followed, and she saw on the other side of the door a skinless humanoid creature, its sharp teeth stained with blood, and a long, thin tongue flailing around.

The security door acted as a shield for Sharon Carter. She braced it with one arm, while the other reached for her waist. The creature’s immense strength made her feel like her bones were about to snap.

Sharon Carter drew her gun and repeatedly pulled the trigger. She could see numerous blood splatters erupting from the creature’s head. Enraged by the attack, the creature’s long arms and massive hands increased the pressure, battering the door more ferociously. The force made Sharon Carter spit out a mouthful of blood.

A sharp noise rang out!

Sharon Carter adjusted her stance, using both hands to brace the door, bending her legs to minimize her body size, and pressing her back firmly against the wall.

A loud explosion echoed through the hallway, smoke billowed, and a heavy dust fell. The massive sound made Sharon Carter dizzy, and her ears were filled with a buzzing noise.

After several minutes of recovery, Sharon Carter struggled to stand, pushing away the door to see the creature that attacked her for the first time.

Despite being hit directly by a high-explosive grenade, the creature still showed signs of life. Its lower half was completely gone from the explosion, but its remaining upper body continued to crawl towards her, appearing to be a pain-insensitive beast driven purely by instinct.

She took out her phone and, seeing that it still worked, called Nick Fury.

Nick Fury was in his office, monitoring the situation in New York. The U.S. government had already sent Alexander Pierce to negotiate. The ringing phone interrupted his thoughts: “A weak voice came from the phone, ‘Director, I was attacked by an unknown biological entity during the mission. The entity has distinct human characteristics and is suspected to be a genetically modified organism. Requesting S.H.I.E.L.D. to recover the entity and perform a full quarantine and disinfection of the area.'”

Damn, on this night of chaos caused by vampires, all sorts of monsters were trying to make their presence known. Besides the reckless vampires, there was now a genetically modified monster. The only good news was that Deacon Frost had been confirmed captured, Blade was safe, and the blood-red sky had returned to normal.

Fury quickly ordered nearby agents to seal off the area and contacted specialized medical institutions to prepare. He then rubbed his forehead in frustration.

With numerous vampire riots, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were busy exterminating vampires everywhere. Hawkeye and Coulson were escorting Deacon Frost to the Raft, a special prison near New York’s Rikers Island (featured in Captain America: Civil War). The Rapid Response Special Forces were escorting the Book of the Dead to a secret base known as ‘The Cube’ (one of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s nine secret bases, later used as a prison to detain Abomination, Hulk’s adversary).

After weighing the options, Fury decided to contact the Rapid Response Special Forces to recover the unknown biological entity’s corpse and transport it along with the Book of the Dead to ‘The Cube.’

“Status of the mission,” Fury maintained his composure as he spoke to the Rapid Response Special Forces.

“Sir, everything is normal. We’re en route to ‘The Cube’ with item 43,” Crossbones responded.

“Mission update. Change course to this address to support Agent 13, Sharon Carter. Recover an unknown biological entity’s corpse and transport it to ‘The Cube’ together,” Fury understood the risks of changing the mission.

Meanwhile, at the Vampire Prince’s castle, the prince and Chad Normar looked at the trembling Police Commissioner. The Commissioner, sweating profusely, was unsure of where to place his hands while facing the ruler of the vampire empire. Diagnosed with a terminal illness months ago, he had sought out Deacon Frost for eternal life. Originally, Deacon Frost promised to transform and protect him after tonight, but S.H.I.E.L.D.’s intervention and the dissipating blood-red sky filled him with dread. He knew Deacon Frost was finished and was prepared to die in prison. However, two vampires unexpectedly brought him to this castle.

As the New York Police Commissioner, he knew some secrets. Before contacting the vampires, he had done thorough research and knew what kind of entity he was facing.

“Prince, we’ve located the S.H.I.E.L.D. convoy. They’re changing course,” a butler-like figure reported.

“Go, Chad Normar, take all the experimental subjects and intercept them. I don’t want any survivors!”

Crossbones, upon receiving the new mission, decisively changed course, heading to the new location to complete the mission. As a competent soldier, following orders was paramount.

The convoy drove through a tunnel when they encountered a massive container blocking the road.

An eerie scene that anyone would find suspicious. “Do not stop. Push through the tunnel. Everyone prepare for battle,” Crossbones calmly commanded.

As the vehicles neared the tunnel’s exit, two explosions rang out.

One blast came from behind, causing the tunnel to collapse, blocking the rear exit with falling rocks. The other explosion came from the container doors ahead.

“Front vehicle, ram the container out of the way and clear the road. Everyone else, disembark and prepare for combat,” Crossbones, unafraid of the fight ahead, led his team.

The Rapid Response Special Forces, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s elite unit, reacted instantly. Two heavy machine guns were mounted on the vehicle roofs, loaded, and ready.

Crossbones exited the vehicle, fully armed with short knives, crossbows, daggers, firearms, and a high-tech power-enhancing glove on his right hand. A master of weaponry and close combat, he held an assault rifle, vigilantly watching the container. The front vehicle began slowly ramming the container, and Crossbones estimated it would take about three minutes to clear the path.
