Yasuo in Marvel Chapter 43

She Overthinks

Sharon Carter, watching from a distance, saw Yasuo take out the gate guards in seconds. She couldn’t help but say, “Beautiful.” In Sharon’s mind, the next steps would be for Yasuo to silently infiltrate the base, while she and Stephen created a distraction at the gate to draw out the enemy forces, giving them a golden opportunity.

“Get ready. Go make some noise at the gate,” Sharon instructed Stephen, struggling to speak.

“But…he doesn’t seem to need our help…” Stephen replied, his teeth chattering slightly as if he’d seen something shocking.

Hearing Stephen’s strange response, Sharon felt a twinge of unease. Then, she saw something that left her speechless. The man in red was not one to follow normal logic. Yasuo, having taken out the four guards, didn’t sneak through the side gate as expected. Instead, he brazenly gathered energy.

He swung his sword!

A tornado formed in front of Yasuo, sweeping toward the large metal gates. The gates, along with a tank and numerous other items behind them, were lifted into the air.

The tornado cleared everything in its path. Nearby patrolling soldiers, stunned by the bizarre scene, stood frozen as they watched a red-clad figure step into the base.

“Stop! Stay where you are!” A distant squad leader shouted, raising his gun.

Yasuo ignored him, continuing to walk forward without a care.

“Open fire! Kill him!” The squad leader ordered, and the patrolmen raised their weapons, firing at Yasuo.

“Face the wind!” Yasuo’s Wind Wall absorbed the bullets, rendering them useless.

Yasuo dashed forward at full speed, crossing the distance in a second. Using his E skill (Sweeping Blade), he moved through the enemies.

The squad leader barely had time to react. As he pulled the trigger, the red-clad figure disappeared, and screams filled the air as blood sprayed across his face. Then, everything went black.

On a distant high platform, a guard with a searchlight only saw a red blur. In the next moment, four patrolling soldiers fell.

“Sound the alarm! Enemy attack!”

The blaring alarm echoed through the fortress. The entire base sprang to life. Searchlights illuminated the grounds, armed Hydra soldiers assembled in formation, and tanks and armored vehicles blocked the inner gates. Snipers took positions on the buildings, and helicopters patrolled the skies, ensuring no movement went unnoticed.

Hydra’s forces gathered, ready to defend against the invader. More soldiers kept arriving, prepared for battle. This was the first time the base had faced an external threat, and everyone was on high alert.

Special forces squads advanced methodically, relaying enemy information as they went. The command center confirmed the outer gate’s loss, noting that all personnel were unresponsive.

From the alarm sounding to total loss of contact, it took less than three minutes for the outer defenses to be overrun.

In the lab building, Strucker, hearing the alarm, took the elevator to the command center, determined to see who dared to challenge him. He vowed to make an example of them.

“Monaghan, Jetson, what’s the situation? Who is the enemy?” Strucker demanded upon arrival.

“We don’t know. The outer gate fell within three minutes. Special forces are advancing to identify the enemy,” Monaghan, a black man with a Mohawk, reported.

Strucker couldn’t believe his fortress’s outer defenses had fallen so quickly. The robust metal gates, tanks, heavy machine guns, elite Hydra soldiers, and armed helicopters should have held off any attacker for at least half an hour.

“Whether it’s the Sokovia government or another force, I want none left alive. They all must die!” Strucker, fed up with recent setbacks, unleashed his fury, issuing commands as he donned his battle gear. He intended to personally crush these invaders.

Yasuo heard the alarm and smiled. Instead of hunting down enemies individually, he preferred them to gather in one place. The more enemies, the faster his E (Sweeping Blade), and each foe would become a stepping stone on his path. Yasuo, moving at full speed, left a trail of fallen Hydra soldiers. Clearing the outer area in under three minutes, Yasuo checked his system, seeing a series of gold coin rewards.

“Damn, some Hydra slackers didn’t even give me gold coins. I killed over thirty, but only got ten or so rewards. What a loss!”

Yasuo, having cleared the outer defenses, advanced leisurely, glancing at the helicopters and hearing the approaching footsteps. He even took a moment to smile and flash a victory sign, knowing Sharon Carter and Stephen were watching.

Stephen, seeing Yasuo’s prowess, was starstruck. In his eyes, Yasuo could accomplish any mission.

Sharon Carter, a seasoned agent, knew the alarm signified the enemy’s full defensive measures. She doubted Yasuo could succeed. But as she faced her own mortality, she felt grateful someone was willing to risk everything for her. Yes, Sharon Carter overthought it.

Yasuo encountered small Hydra special forces teams, each four-man squad well-coordinated and battle-hardened. Even Yasuo couldn’t eliminate them silently every time, often resorting to brute force. In one ambush, three bullets struck Yasuo’s chest. Enraged, he unleashed a small tornado, reducing the enemy to dust.

Looking at his bleeding chest and the bullets pushed out by his muscles, Yasuo cursed, “Damn, that hurts.” Despite his regenerative abilities, he preferred avoiding such pain. It was time to get serious.

After eliminating four squads, Yasuo finally saw the awaiting formation ahead. In his eyes, the golden glow of potential rewards nearly blinded him.
