The police below were stunned. They had encountered criminals before, but never one so arrogant. Not only did he provoke them before running away, but his attire was also bizarre, giving off the impression of someone who wasn’t quite right in the head. However, that didn’t excuse him from disrespecting the New York police.
A dozen police officers scrambled to get into their cars, but they soon realized that the large patch of white liquid from earlier was some sort of powerful adhesive. The glue was so strong that even the burliest officer couldn’t break free. They could only stand there, helplessly watching the criminal escape.
Yasuo glanced back at the stuck officers, taunting them, “Hey, you fools who haven’t eaten! Don’t you have the strength to take even one step?”
Yasuo didn’t know why, but today he felt an overwhelming urge to let loose. Having been reborn for nearly 17 years, he decided today was the day to truly go wild. He needed to blow off some steam, enjoy himself, and have fun. He was ready to kick off a new chapter before Tony Stark ever did!
“Call the station! Get them to stop that criminal. When we catch him, I’ll make sure he gets a proper lesson!” the commanding officer shouted. Immediately, one of the officers contacted the precinct. “Headquarters, this is Queens. A suspect has escaped and is heading towards Manhattan via the main road. Description: bald, wearing a bizarre red and green outfit, covered in bandages, with a giant green canister on his back and carrying a red shield!”
The Queens precinct dispatcher didn’t even know how to respond to such a description. They couldn’t help but wonder if this was really a criminal or some escapee from a mental institution.
A young man who had just finished overtime was driving home, feeling drained. Suddenly, he noticed a man with a strange canister strapped to his back sprinting past his car. Three seconds later, he rubbed his eyes and looked forward again, checking his speedometer—80 miles per hour!
Many drivers in Queens that day witnessed something strange: a man wrapped in bandages and holding odd objects was sprinting down the streets at an insane speed, overtaking countless vehicles. Experienced drivers estimated that he was moving at speeds between 80 and 100 miles per hour. Many people pulled out their phones to record the scene. Although the man’s appearance was terrifying, he didn’t harm anyone. He just kept running faster and faster!
Yasuo had left the police behind and, without any attempt to hide, began sprinting down the widest roads. All he wanted to do now was run, endlessly. Unfortunately, the good times didn’t last long. He hadn’t even made it out of Queens when he heard police sirens in the distance. The sound came from all directions—front, back, left, and right. It seemed the NYPD wasn’t entirely useless; they had managed to set up a plan to surround him in advance.
Three police cars appeared ahead of Yasuo. He had no intention of avoiding them. Instead, he took larger strides, picking up even more speed as he charged straight towards the cars. The officers inside were dumbfounded. They had never encountered someone so bold, running towards moving vehicles. Was he trying to commit suicide? Just before impact, the officer behind the wheel jerked the steering wheel hard to the side. “Bang!” The center police car swerved to avoid Yasuo and collided with another police car.
Breaking through the police blockade, Yasuo burst into loud laughter. He then leaped onto the roof of a nearby car, turned around, and made a victory gesture, once again mocking the police behind him.
Enraged by yet another insult, the police and their vehicles began chasing Yasuo like rabid dogs. Unfortunately for them, this was New York. Even in the economically poor area of Queens, the streets were packed with cars, making it impossible to pursue him effectively.
The chief of the Queens precinct was furious as he watched his useless subordinates. Nearly a hundred officers had been deployed, and yet they couldn’t catch a single lunatic. In his frustration, he began throwing things around and ordered all units to set up a blockade near the bridge to Queens Park. He reasoned that if the suspect was trying to flee from Queens to Manhattan, he would have to cross the bridge. The chief issued a strict order to stop the suspect before he reached Manhattan. He didn’t want to become a laughingstock!
As Yasuo ran, he threw W (Mega Adhesive) skill all over the place, carelessly spreading it around. Buildings and roads were sealed off by the adhesive, and vehicles were stuck in place. The entire Queens district descended into chaos, with police officers rushing on foot to the bridge while cars were trapped in the sticky mess.
From a distance, Yasuo could already see the bridge. Once he crossed it, he would be in the wealthy Manhattan district, known as New York’s shining jewel. His destination was there as well: Gideon Malick’s residence.
Countless police officers were holding weapons, standing behind their vehicles. They spotted Yasuo running towards them from afar. The chief of the Queens precinct was personally commanding the operation. The moment he saw Yasuo, he began shouting, “I don’t care who you are! Stop now and submit to the police’s justice!”
Yasuo rolled his eyes at the foolish command, thinking, Only an idiot would stop and obediently submit to punishment!
“You stupid pig! Go crawl back into your mother’s womb if you’re going to spout such nonsense!” Every happy Yasuo main is also a top-tier trash talker!
“Open fire! Shoot him in the legs and make him stop!” The furious chief commanded his officers to open fire, determined to see the lunatic writhing in pain on the ground.
Yasuo activated his ultimate ability, R (Insanity Potion): Upon activation, it greatly increases armor, magic resistance, movement speed, and regeneration for one hour!
He hurled another W (Mega Adhesive) skill towards the chief who had been shouting at him. A large mass of white adhesive splattered all over the man, completely covering him!
Seeing Yasuo attack the chief, all the officers opened fire. But after activating his ultimate ability, Yasuo became even faster. He could now clearly see the trajectory of the bullets as they flew. One bullet hit him, but the small-caliber handgun round couldn’t even penetrate his skin.
Yasuo sped towards the police blockade at the foot of the bridge. Without attacking, his powerful body simply barreled through the officers, sending them flying. One officer, seeing Yasuo approach, fired his shotgun without hesitation.
However, Yasuo’s reinforced body, enhanced by his ultimate ability, only felt a slight sting from the shotgun blast. Not a single drop of blood was spilled. The officer who shot him was stunned. In all his years as a cop, he had never seen such a monstrous man!
Several police cars formed a second blockade, but Yasuo’s charge sent them flying in both directions. At the back of the blockade stood the precinct’s ace: an armored riot truck weighing sixty tons. Yasuo charged towards the massive armored truck, then used his E (Fling) skill. His arms thickened, muscles bulging, and the riot truck was effortlessly tossed over his head. It soared over the bridge in a perfect arc and plunged into the Harlem River below, creating a huge splash before disappearing from sight.
Overhead, a news helicopter captured the entire scene. A man in strange clothing had just thrown a sixty-ton armored truck over his head, over the bridge? Even the reporters who witnessed it all couldn’t believe it was real.
Meanwhile, Crossbones and his squad arrived near Ned Leeds’ house in Queens. The first thing they saw was a dozen uniformed police officers and several police cars. As they got closer, Crossbones realized the officers were stuck to the ground by some kind of strange glue—a glue strong enough to hold vehicles in place!
