“Help!”
Above the clouds.
Mansherry’s tears and snot sprayed everywhere as she free-fell, her heart pounding in her throat, with her soul trailing desperately behind.
She regretted it.
If she had known it would be this terrifying, she would have rather stayed in that little dark room.
This day would become a lifelong shadow for her.
She had no idea how long she had been falling when she finally saw the ground.
What to do?
If she hit the ground, she would surely be a bloody mess.
She didn’t want to die so horribly.
Nor did she want to die so ugly.
If she had another chance, she wanted to die more beautifully, not in this manner, meeting her ancestors in heaven in such a gruesome state.
Finally, she saw the man.
All the guards were already lying in pools of blood, but Diamante, the bad guy, was still alive.
“Up you go again.”
Seeing herself getting closer to the ground, Mansherry felt a brief moment of relief as she was caught, but then the voice came again, and she was hurled back into the sky.
“Ahhhh~”
Tears and snot gushed out again, and Mansherry’s eyes rolled back as she fainted.
Her little heart couldn’t handle two rounds of this.
On the ground.
Diamante’s face was pale, blood gushing uncontrollably. Hermes’s relentless Tempest Kicks hadn’t ceased, and it seemed his legs were about to catch fire from the speed and force.
“Damn it.”
“How can he maintain such high-intensity attacks for so long?”
Diamante was in despair.
It looked like Hermes could keep attacking indefinitely, like some kind of pile driver, one wave after another, making his soul feel like it was ascending!
He couldn’t hold on any longer.
Ten seconds.
Twenty seconds.
“Ahhh!”
A scream echoed through the sky as Diamante’s sword broke, and the relentless Tempest Kick smashed into his chest, tearing him open. He was hurled through several buildings before being buried in the rubble.
Dust and smoke rose into the air.
Breathing heavily, Hermes landed on the ground, his legs tingling with numbness and pain. Limping, he walked towards the rubble. When the smoke cleared, Diamante lay there, bleeding profusely, his organs spilled out.
“Doffy will avenge me.”
Life was quickly slipping away.
Diamante surviving the initial strike was a testament to his strength.
Hermes didn’t say a word, kicking out another Tempest Kick, ending Diamante’s suffering. He had researched the top executives of the Donquixote Family and knew that apart from Vergo, the others had bounties of 99 million Berries.
A significant amount of money.
Since he had already offended Doflamingo, Hermes didn’t mind going all the way. He also helped himself to some of the gold and jewels from the Royal Plateau.
He could also use Diamante’s head to boost his reputation.
This way, he would gain both fame and fortune.
But he knew the Donquixote Family would hunt him, although apart from Doflamingo, Hermes didn’t really care about the others.
Carrying his spoils of war.
Hermes looked up at the sky, flew up to catch Mansherry, and then headed to the treasure vault he had scoped out earlier.
No thief leaves empty-handed.
This was his specialty.
Some time later.
Mansherry rubbed her eyes as she gradually woke up, the first thing she saw was the starry sky. Remembering something, she scrambled to her feet, realizing she was no longer in the sky.
Her heart settled.
She looked around and found herself on a beach.
Next to her was a sinister-looking ship, which seemed eerie and scary, making her gulp involuntarily.
“Now that you’re awake, come help!”
The voice came from behind, and Mansherry tensed up.
She saw Hermes carrying a wooden crate filled with shrunken gold and jewels. Nearby were over twenty other crates, presumably all filled with treasure or Berries.
That’s right.
Hermes had emptied Doflamingo’s treasury, even taking the wine. The place was so clean out that even a mouse would leave in tears.
Without the Mini-Mini Fruit, Hermes wouldn’t have been able to transport all this wealth.
Now, these twenty-something crates were all miniaturized. Restored to normal, they would form a sizable mountain of gold and silver.
In short, he had struck it rich.
Roughly estimating, he had at least three billion.
Overnight wealth.
Doffy was indeed Doffy, incredibly rich.
“Ah, oh.”
Mansherry was still a bit dazed, her soul not fully awake, wobbling as she walked to one of the tiny crates, barely the size of a pinky finger.
But…
Using all her strength, the tiny crate didn’t budge an inch.
Her little face turned redder and redder, but she couldn’t move the tiny crate at all.
“Go pick up some of the Berries instead!”
Hermes chuckled at the small figure’s effort. This little one was quite amusing, though a bit useless.
That small crate weighed only a few thousand pounds.
Mansherry wished she could find a hole to crawl into. Hermes’s laugh felt like mockery, making her little face flush pinker, breathing heavily.
She didn’t believe it.
After a few more attempts, Mansherry slumped in defeat, head down like a withered eggplant, fighting back tears.
After about an hour.
Hermes finally loaded everything onto the Death Ship.
Then he took a bath and headed to the kitchen, planning to cook some home-style dishes he missed from his past life. Today was a special day.
He didn’t pay much attention to Mansherry, but his Observation Haki kept a close watch on the ship.
Mansherry explored the Death Ship, full of curiosity.
It was her first time seeing such a huge and strange ship, with many rooms and lots of unfamiliar things.
“Should I escape?”
After wandering around the Death Ship, Mansherry stood at the railing, looking at the dark jungle in the distance, her face filled with conflict.
She wanted to escape.
But the dark jungle looked like a monster’s gaping maw, making Mansherry very scared.
She hesitated and hesitated.
“If you dare escape, I’ll consider it a breach of our agreement, and I’ll kill you! Then I’ll kill all the Tontattas.”
An eerie voice came from afar, making Mansherry shiver, her face instantly turned pale.
She knew how powerful this man was.
The thought of escape vanished immediately, and with a tearful voice, she fearfully protested, “I-I wasn’t thinking of escaping.”
Demon.
This demon.
So scary.
Mansherry fought back tears.
“Dinner’s ready.”
Hermes didn’t say anything else, turning and disappearing through the door.
Mansherry sniffled, her stomach growling. After a moment’s hesitation, she timidly moved towards the kitchen, which was connected to the dining room.
Soft oil lamps lit up the entire kitchen.
Mansherry looked at the huge chairs, ready to climb up, but the table and chairs suddenly shrank, becoming miniature.
More importantly, the man had shrunk too.
Mansherry was stunned.
“Why are you standing there? Come eat.”
“And wash the dishes and clean the kitchen after.”
Now, Hermes was the same size as Mansherry. If you didn’t know better, you’d think he was a Tontatta.
This time, Hermes made three dishes and a soup. They looked pretty good and tasted not too bad, but not too great either. Overall, it was nostalgic.
Mansherry watched the miniaturized Hermes, wanting to say something but holding back. Seeing the strange food on the table, she became curious.
Using a fork, she poked at some shredded meat, sniffed it, and then put it in her mouth. Her big watery eyes curved into happy crescents.
It was delicious.
Though a bit spicy.
After eating, Hermes left the dishes and left the kitchen, heading to the bow for his nightly training. Meanwhile, Mansherry diligently cleaned up the kitchen.
Despite being clumsy, she had to do it.
She muttered about being exploited, still a child, and other womanly complaints…
