Shi Xueyun couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw Yi Tianyun. She had missed him so much for this past year, and now, she started thinking that she was seeing things.
“Am I seeing things?” Shi Xueyun was shocked.
“You aren’t, aunt. I am here for you.” Yi Tianyun walked into the room with a smile on his face.
“Tianyun!” Shi Xueyun shouted as she immediately plunged herself into Yi Tianyun’s embrace. She was excited to feel Yi Tianyun’s warmth against her skin again. “I thought I would never see you again!” Shi Xueyun said excitedly.
“There would never come a time that I would let you go without my permission again, aunt! I will look for you everywhere!” Yi Tianyun said with a warm smile on his face.
At the same time, Young Master Mei was furious to see that Shi Xueyun easily embraced another man in front of him like this! “You are Yi Tianyun? How did you sneak in? You are truly tired of living!” Young Master Mei said coldly.
Shi Xueyun was startled as she finally realised that Young Master Mei and Elder Wan was still inside the room, hence worried about Yi Tianyun’s safety. But she was too late as Young Master Mei suddenly attacked Yi Tianyun with a palm strike.
“Step back for a bit, aunt.” Yi Tianyun said as he immediately hugged Shi Xueyun and released a cold light that bombarded Young Master Mei, pushing him away from Yi Tianyun and Shi Xueyun.
“This is a soul technique!?” Young Master Mei said as he felt that his head was about to be torn apart from his body. Although he didn’t receive any physical damage, Young Master Mei knew that his soul was damaged from Yi Tianyun’s attack.
Soul Technique is a cultivation technique that specialized in Spirit-based attack. It was a rare technique as cultivating it was very hard. Usually, people with good Divine Rune synergy would be able to learn this technique too.

Young Master Mei smiled smugly towards Yi Tianyun as he thought that he had the upper hands.
At the same time, Jiang Yi walked in as he wanted to find Elder Wan and was confused as he saw Yi Tianyun inside as well.
“Why are you here? Didn’t I tell you that you are not allowed to walk around without any permission? And how did you get here?” Jiang Yi said confusedly.

“You are clever; mixing in with the new recruit surely wouldn’t raise any suspicion. But you choose the wrong faction to break in!” Elder Wan said coldly. “I will say this one more time, Xueyun! You better persuade him to leave this place! He is someone that you hold dear, and therefore I am willing to turn a blind eye about this!” Elder Wan said solemnly to Shi Xueyun.
“Now, is it about resources? I will pay double the amount, so how many resources have you used, aunt?” Yi Tianyun said as he pulled Shi Xueyun to his embrace once more.
“You will pay double the amount? Did you think you can afford it?” Young Master Mei said as he looked Yi Tianyun from top to bottom with disdain.
“I am willing to pay double because you didn’t hurt aunt in any way. If she was hurt, Heavenly Plum God Clan would’ve been gone already!” Yi Tianyun said coldly.
Shi Xueyun looked at Yi Tianyun with awe as she was very flattered that Yi Tianyun was so concerned about her. But suddenly, a new voice entered the room that startled Shi Xueyun quite a bit.
“You make a big statement there, young man! I didn’t really approve of Yiming’s pursuit of Lady Xueyun, but I can’t let that provocation of yours slide! How dare you threaten my people in my place!” a beautiful woman came into the room with confidence, and immediately Young Master Mei’s eyes lit up in excitement.
“Mother!” Young Master Mei shouted excitedly. This beautiful woman was Young Master Mei’s mother, which meant she was the Great Elder of Heavenly Plum God Clan!
She was a strong cultivator with the cultivation at Spirit King Stage, and her power was really amazing as it was probably above her cultivation level.
