In comparison, Raditz showed a bit more humanity.
Think about it: Nappa’s mindless brutality, torturing and killing people at the drop of a hat; Vegeta’s cold-heartedness, not sparing even loyal comrades like Nappa.
Given this contrast, Raditz’s arrival on Earth involved minimal destruction and, upon finding Goku, focused mainly on persuasion. Even when met with rejection, he resorted to coercion rather than outright violence. If it were Nappa or Vegeta, would there have been as many opportunities for choice?
And that’s not even the saddest part.
Before dying, Raditz believed his heartfelt plea could convince Vegeta to come to Earth and use the Dragon Balls to revive him.
To live, to die, and even after death, he remained deeply aggrieved.
The saddest part is that he didn’t even realize how pitiful his situation was…

Raditz battling Vegeta would be quite an exciting turn of events.
He didn’t expect Raditz to defeat Vegeta, but under his guidance, defeating Nappa should be entirely feasible.
